The first cow is tricky to pick up, you need to press down on the UFO and wiggle it at the same time to pick it up sometimes. If the magnet was any stronger it would pick them up from the sides, I imagine when they were making the game it was a balancing act between height of the board and strength of magnet. Really good game for kids, they can play solo and after the easy levels the medium levels get challenging. My daughter is 6 and she loves it, working her way through, and she can play it by herself which is really nice. Can't recommend this game enough. The game is fairly easy to understand and play, however, the rules could be a bit more clear, especially for the genius level. The biggest reason we give this game only 4 stars is because the UFO doesn’t always magnetize the cows and requires reaching under the grid to force the attachment.
