Great iconic watch
It's a great watch. Very nice proportions. Thin and "saucer" shaped is just right for cuffed shirts. If you know this watch, you understand the history and significance of it. The dial is dark. Tasteful but dark. It's not easy to read time in a darkened room and the lume on the hands is so scant as to be ineffective. It's just not a good low-light watch. I have about 40-50 watches so I have something to compare to. This one is a solid performer, with history, from a famous company....but it's a bit overpriced (regular retail of $1000 ish) for what it is. Yes, it's a nice Swiss watch, but you can find very similar Swiss watches for about $600-700. I was OK with the price because of its iconic history. Love the domed crystal. Just fantastic. I'm not wild about the tan strap. I knew that would be true before it arrived. Plan on replacing it. It just doesn't look the part. The strap color is intended to match or fit with the fabulous dial numbers. I guess it sort of does, but it's not an attractive color otherwise (IMO). My watch arrived in a box with the watch no longer around the curved mount. It was just floating around in the box. Hmmm. Expected better than that, but no damage or scratches or anything.

Immediate problems cropped up after purchase.
The watch is beautiful but I have only had it for two months and it already has a defective coil spring. It has also run a minute fast since I opened the box.

Just a beautiful example of Bauhaus design
This is a watch I have lusted over for some time. There is always a risk of dissatisfaction when you set the expectations to high. However, this time piece delivers and exceeds those expectations. Just a beautiful example of Bauhaus design. The anthracite dial plays with the light beautifully, changing between grey to a black depending on the conditions. The leather strap is supple and well made. Very happy with the purchase.
