But Super Hazard Quest not only references classic video games, it plays like one too. Heroes build and explore an ever-changing, randomly generated level. Along their adventure, they’ll discover new items, tackle enemies and beat powerful bosses. But their most dangerous threat are other heroes. Who will be the first player to defeat the final boss and take the glory? It’s all the fun of multi-player retro gaming without ever having to blow into a cartridge! What's Included 54 Item Cards 2 Instructional Cards 8 Character Tokens 32 Hazard Shards 16 Crystal Shards Instructional Manual Modular Game Design - Different Every Time! Super Hazard Quest's "board" is jumbo dungeon cards. Each card is a room. Shuffling these before each game ensures unique dungeons. Heroes start on the same card and explore. As they enter rooms, new cards are drawn and placed. Hazards are encountered, checkpoints reached, and items found. The goal: find and defeat the Scrambler, the final boss. But the Scrambler's only weakness is a magical crystal, guarded by mini-bosses found among the cards. The first to defeat the Scrambler wins. But be careful… Others may have tricks up their sleeves… Dungeon Cards The modular “game board” where all Heroes explore, navigate and battle. The Dungeon is made up of jumbo sized Dungeon Cards. **Q: How much is this game like Boss Monster?**
A: The short answer - Not at all!

The longer answer - and in being completely honest, the game was inspired by Boss Monster’s promised concept of bringing a classic video game to the table top. We own Boss Monster. We like Boss Monster. But as retro video game fans, we felt Boss Monster was a tabletop card game wearing only the skin of an NES game. Super Hazard Quest tries to actually recreate that classic side scroller feeling on the tabletop. Rule wise, the games couldn’t be more different. Though purely from an aesthetic standpoint, both games draw from similar inspiration.

**Q: How long Is a normal game?**
A: For two players playing for the first time, took us ~20 to 30 miuntes. Most of the time was figuring out the not-so-clear rules.

**Q: Can a single player game be played without the expansions (which are all sold out currently on the website)?**
A: The only way to play a single player game is with the single player expansion. The expansion was sold via the website, but is currently sold out. You can try emailing superhazardquest@gmail.com and asking when they'll have more in stock, or if they know another way to get one.

**Q: Can this be played solo?**
A: You cannot play the main game solo but there is an add on pack you can buy through hazard quests website

It’s an excellent game! I definitely recommend it! The art style is amazing. The manual looks like a NES game manual. 👾 the game play is fun but we ran out of physical tokens for the hazards. I feel like it needs twice as many tokens
