Amish Farms Fragrance Free Moisturizing Bentonite Clay Bar Soap - 5 Bars

This is great soap! I’ve been using it for around two weeks and it hasn’t caused any allergic reactions whatsoever. Most soaps give me rashes, sometimes while I’m still bathing, but this just makes my skin clean and soft. The bars have a smell if you put them close to your face, but it’s not a chemical smell and it doesn’t transfer to the skin or hair. This is the first soap I’ve ever tried that hasn’t left a smell behind. Some of us are so sensitive to chemicals that we can smell even the “unscented” chemicals. This soap seems to be the answer to that problem for me. I’ve also been trying it on my very long, fine hair since it arrived. My hair is around hip length at the moment and this soap has worked wonders for controlling tangles and frizz. I’ve tried using a diluted apple cider vinegar rinse after shampooing with this soap, but it doesn’t really need it. Just rubbing my hands onto the bar and transferring small amounts of lather to my hair allows me to control how much I have to rinse out. It’s been leaving my hair very soft and light feeling. I also tried using a 100% cotton men’s large t-shirt to dry my hair instead of a regular bath towel after reading articles about this being better for long hair. It’s actually much easier because the t-shirt allows my small hands to squeeze more water out of my hair into the fabric. I also noticed that my hair dries more quickly using this soap as a shampoo instead of using regular unscented shampoo. The difference is still the same whether I use a towel or a t-shirt for my wet hair. My skin also dries off more easily after I use this soap. I have a tendency to begin sweating when my immune system doesn’t like something, so I’m guessing that my immune system likes this soap better than the hypoallergenic types I was previously using. And my sweat doesn’t smell as “sweaty” or funky with this soap, which is a bonus because I don’t tolerate antiperspirant or deodorant very well. I normally just use corn starch and baking soda as necessary and it’s been working pretty much all day unless I’m doing labor intensive chores or pushing a lawnmower in the hot sun. Even then, I don’t stink after using this soap. I honestly believe that the immune system reacts to things we get on our skin. This is supported by medical research and evidence. Our skin is an organ and it’s being subjected to chemicals and pollutants all day long. Washing them off with something that doesn’t compound the problem is a huge relief. My skin feels the difference. So does my scalp. This particular variety tends to leave a silky, lotion-type feeling on wet skin unless it’s rinsed off several times. Using less soap decreases this. It’s similar to the moisturizer feeling in Dove soap or the other moisturizing soaps. It’s easily controlled by the amount of lather you have. Rubbing a washcloth against the bar helps to control the amount of lather created and it will make the bar last longer. Using just the bar in the tub or shower will create quite a bit of very nice lather that just needs plenty of rinsing. If used for a sponge bath method, it should probably be used sparingly to avoid extra rinsing. It would be a great soap/shampoo for a young girl with long hair because it’s easy to comb through my hair with a wide-tooth comb while it’s still wet. That wasn’t often the case with most other shampoos. Squeezing the water out of the hair instead of rubbing it makes a huge difference, too. My hair can go three days between shampoos with this soap. I could barely tolerate two days with other shampoos. That’s also a plus for children, especially in winter. The company has a website with other products listed. It’s definitely worth checking out. They explained that they’re not Amish, but their soap recipes are. Personally, I don’t care who makes the soap as long as the ingredients don’t make me sick. I’m planning to use their soap because it makes me feel better. I love this stuff!

there are a lot of differing opinions in these reviews so ill just try to be concise and clear i have very sensitive skin and am also extremely sensitive to intense smells from perfumes or even natural scents this soap is smooth, lathers well, does *not* have any added scents and smells only like, well, soap! i made soap in an organic chemistry lab with no additives and it smells very similar. the bars are massive the quality is unmatched great price for the size no harmful ingredients my skin is not dry or flaky excellent soap i will continue to buy this!

On 3rd bag, would be lost without it!! Makes great lather, softens skin, also helps get oils from poison oak and other saps off. Last a long time. Bath in it too!!

Love this soap. As someone with very sensitive skin, this soap is the perfect go to from head to toe. I love the lather. Long lasting bars. I even use it for my hair. After using this soap, you don't have that tight feeling of dry skin. Just clean. Also when I use it as a shampoo bar, I dont need to use a conditioner or a detangler.

Amazing buy! If you have sensitive skin it’s a must. 3rd day using it and it really calmed my itchy dry skin. Smells strong when you open the package almost didn’t use it. Went ahead and tried and was pleasantly surprised the strong soapy smell went away . It lathered amazingly and my skin felt soft not tight and dry.

I ordered this product because I have sensitive skin especially in certain areas. The olive oil soap I was using is very good however it was drying. This soap is also good for sensitive skin but NOT drying, in fact, it seems to make my skin softer. I really like it BUT be careful, whatever makes it moisturizing, also makes the shower floor slippery. I think I will save this soap to use in the winter when my skin gets very dry. By then I should have some kind of bathmat that will keep me from slipping in the shower. Also I don't think this soap will last as long as the olive oil bar.

We love this soap! I heard about it, ordered it, used it and have thoroughly enjoyed its creamy clean properties n lack of fragrance! Yeah, no noseeums! Even wash my hair with it now. Use a tiny cream rinse or conditioner and I’m good to go! My husband likes it too. We will be ordering more. Thank you AMISH FARMS!

Great soap no BS in it just good old-fashioned soap. Feel clean when you’re done and no smell.
