It's cheaper than a battery drill. It's of good quality, easy to use and versatile. But the best thing is that you don't need to recharge it.

The gears moved about up and down the central spindle too much causing the action to jam occasionally so I fitted a couple of small spring washers to reduce the play in the gears and smoothed out the action. Chocolate chuck key and chocolate, already bent#! Drillbits... After my mods and a proper drillbit it did do the job of drilling a 3mm hole in aluminium shower frame very close to a wall cos the chuck is a small diameter.

Main cog wheel not tight to shaft so jumps over teeth when used hard Chuck looks good but chuck key doesn't fit so difficult to tighten onto the drill bit, resulting in losing my bit in the hole. Useful storage in the handle for e.g. small drill bits, but no storage for the chuck key. Cannot recommend. Update April 2024 regarding the included drill bits: Tried to drill out a screw that a screwdriver had rounded out. The screw is still there but two of these bits are now totally blunt. Rubbish. Do not buy.

Great for a first hand drill. Seems to slip when trying to drill a hole next to one just drilled, that may just be me. Comes with the bits and is easy to use

I have been looking for this kind of drill and finally found one. I lost my last one, no recharging just muscle power. i was glad it wasn't electric also. It is not hard to use so don't need the muscles.
