Very well made and fast
This is very well made and was the only way I could upgrade my M.2 drive in my laptop. Laptop only has 1 M.2 slot so there was no way to directly clone the drive without this product. Works great and did a 256g clone in about 10 minutes. I recommend this product.

I would only buy this again as a last resort.
Was working just fine for the first month then the USB c connection on it started to malfunction and wouldn't work for more than a few mins would suggest not to buy this product until they use better hardware but overall the shell parts is very nice just the hardware inside I think is crap.

Great quality and design. Lots of LEDs though. Not difficult to install the NVMe unit, but it is time-consuming for anyone needing to change often. 3 different thickness silicone pads included as well as two USB cables, screwdriver, and extra screws.

WORKS - If it doesn't, it's the power not the product
Loaded it with a 2 TB 970 EVO and plugged in to my USB 3.0 (5 Gbs max). Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Ran Macrium Reflect 64-bit, saw 1.2 Gbs transfer BUT LOTS OF DISK ERRORS in event viewer: Event 129 UASPstor drive reset, and Event 153 The IO operation at logical block address for Disk 3 (PDO name: \Device\00000117) was retried. Worked perfectly in older USB 2.0, but Macrium reported 200 Mbs. Tried USB Y cable to double up on power to product, NOT WORK. BOUGHT USB 3.0 HUB WITH SEPARATE POWER SUPPLY TP-Link UH720 ASIN B00SCX6I8A WORKS PERFECTLY NO ERRORS PERFECT IT'S THE POWER NOT THE PRODUCT.

This device didn't work as advertised
The item didn't work. The SSD was proved fine in a DIY PC my son built but this device was unable to recognize the SSD.

A very good value - not hot or slow
I purchased this along with a Samsung 1tb 970 EVO drive which I put in my laptop, and repurposed the original drive from the laptop to the enclosure. The performance has been very impressive on my USB C connection (Thunderbolt 3 2 lanes) - about four times the performance of an internal SATA drive. I've had mine plugged in for two days now, and it is barely warm. Not taking anything away from it because I would totally buy one again, but there are two very small screws holding the circuit board inside the unit that have to be removed to install your SSD, and they're hard to spot and not mentioned in the manual. The blue lighting is a matter of taste - I don't find it objectionable but it is definitely a little bright. Comes with both USB C and A cables so very versatile. Recommended.

Works great and allows dual booting on Mac
Installed the Crucial 1TB PCI SSD in this (CT1000P1SSD8) ( https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07J2Q4SWZ ) and used this to create a Dual boot system with my MBA ( Mac Book Air). The drive speed is limited by the USB 3.1 but I have no problem running windows, games and programs. My processor is now the limiting factor. I feel the case is a bit pricey, but there are not many options for the PCI-e and M-key. the price is similar to 3rd party sites as well. I imagine as time progresses this price will fall.It was very easy to install and set up, open the case. Unscrew the screws along the outer edge of the board. ( leave the large brass colored screw). Install the PCI-E SSD. Put the thermal strips on top and bottom and put it all back together.*How to Install Windows on Drive*1. On a windows PC, download windows iso and WINtoUSB2. Plug in drive and format 2 partitions, 1 EFI ( 500MB) and one windows default3. after formatting run WINtoUSB4. Plug into a mac that is turned off.5. Turn on Mac and hold down the option key, choose EFI6. Windows setup will finish.7. Going forward whenever you want to boot windows, restart your mac and hold the option key.

Excellent product
This puts thumb drives to shame! I recommend this item to anyone looking for amazingly fast read/write to portable external data.

Solid m2 ssd case
I have about a dozen ssd m2 portable drives. This by far the best made case I have. Solid metal and look great. I like the vents on each side to help in cooling the drive. Well thought out case.
