I snipped the top of the see through bag. The runner was rolled up. I pulled it out and it was so flexible. It lay right down no problem. It is not stiff. I would not call it thick. I have a nonslip pad coming but I don't think I will need it. It has antislip backing. See pics. This runner is not moving. I can feel the tile floor through runner so maybe to cushion it up. I love it with my decor and color scheme. Hope it holds up well with 5 kids and two dogs but for the price point I'm not worried. I will clean and would buy again. Came 1 day early. Colors are muted. This rug pictures very well. I don't detect any odor or damage. There are so many rugs I don't like. I think this one is beautiful. Good purchase. I don't know about resistance but looks like it will be easy to clean.
