Fantastic Sauce
My first experience with Yellow Bird was in the military when a guy brought it into the office and had it on my eggs. Took a picture of the bottle to make sure I remembered. 4 years later, I'm buying some more. I eat a ton of hot sauce, i put it on everything. This is a fantastic sauce, the consistency is perfect, not watery like the popular Tabasco mcilhenny or Franks Red hot. Besides the hot, the flavor is still there. The container is also perfect. These twist containers allow you to put the right amount while you're eating instead of these other containers that force you to splash the hot sauce out. Besides that, the varying flavors and heat is a good thing for customers to make sure nobody is getting something too hot or too mild. This is my new favorite sauce!

Super unique - very hot!
I'm a hot sauce noob. I've really only tried mainstream sauces that you can find at your local grocery store. Hoping to broaden my horizons, I recently watched a video in which several hot sauce experts did blind test tests of a dozen or so different hot sauces. Yellow Bird Habanero was one of the most highly recommended sauces - so I tried it! The first thing I noticed is the fact that this hot sauce has very unique ingredients: carrots, tangerine juice, raisins, dates, lime juice, etc etc. I've never seen another hot sauce in which the first ingredient is carrots. The flavor profile is just as unique as the list of ingredients. It's a bit tangy with the heat and complexity you'd expect from a designer hot sauce. I like it! While most hot sauces tend to be a bit liquidy and runny, Yellow Bird is not. It's extremely thick and viscous. Its thickness and consistency is comparable to ketchup. I like that because it stays where you put it. There is just one little problem: Yellow Bird is a bit too hot for me. I enjoy most of the common hot sauces: Cholula, Tapatio, Louisianna, Tabasco, etc. None of those are too potent for me. However, when I first tried Yellow Bird, a generous glob coated my tongue. Obviously, as you'd expect from a hot sauce, it was hot! It burned slightly. It was beyond the standard tangy heat that I'm used to. It felt like I had a chemical burn on my tongue. I still like the flavor of Yellow Bird. I wouldn't say it's bad just because of the excess heat. It's just a touch too hot for me to truly enjoy. The crazy thing is the label says it's only 3/5 - medium hot. I can't imagine what a 5/5 must be like! Overall I would definitely recommend Yellow Bird to individuals with a high tolerance for heat. The flavor profile is very unique and complex! However, if you're a person like me with only a moderate tolerance for spicy foods, this one might not be for you. If you struggle to enjoy mainstream sauces like Franks, Tabasco, or Cholula, then Yellow Bird definitely is not for you!

Brand of Hot Sauce That I've Used for Years And Still Enjoy.
One of my favorite hot sauces. This one is a good size and decent plastic container that won't smash if dropped. Unlike some other hot sauces that's a liquid like vinegar or salsa like, this one goes on foods thick, like ketchup or mustard, and with this dispenser, it's easy to apply without making a mess. The sauce itself is delicious. The ingredients are great. The spice is perfect for people who like spicy foods, but want a great flavor. It's by no means the spiciest sauce, but is spicier than the average hot sauce you'd find in your local grocery store. It goes great on chicken and any type of beef/meat, but it's too thick for being my first choice for soup like foods, like chili. However, it's by far, my first choice for sandwich like foods, especially breakfast sandwiches. Overall, great value for your money.
