Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Loose Powder Foundation, Classical Ivory, .19 oz

I've been using this for several years. For me it's just the right balance of light feeling makeup and consistent coverage. I prefer a really natural look that doesn't make my face feel caked with layers or clog my pores. If you're wanting something that makes you look like an Instagram filter, this isn't that, but if you're wanting a light feeling everyday wear, this is just right.

This is my first time using a powder foundation. I use a damp beauty blender to apply it. I've used very little for a natural look, dabbing a little extra to cover some redness, it blends well. When I need more coverage, I build it up rather than applying a ton at a time. I haven't had any problems with this foundation caking up or wearing off during the day. It is lightweight, and a smooth texture on my skin, doesn't feel heavy. The color I picked is a perfect match. Will definitely purchase again.

I’ve never cared for the feel of liquid foundation so I always use powder. As I aged (52 now), I struggled to find one that suited my changing skin. This has a very subtle shimmer that illuminates my skin. It’s not glittery or overtly shimmery, just gives a nice glow. Still feels lightweight and covers well.

Nice powder, but the container is labeled upside down so that powder falls out if opened with label up. I guess I will just use is upside down to prevent more spillage. strange design

I was a Bare Minerals lady for years before discovering the drug store brands were doing similar things. I've always been grossed out by skin-colored liquids, so most foundations have been out for me. Pressed powder isn't gross to me, but doesn't seem to work that well if that's the only foundation you're using, so I've tried a bunch of those and used a knife to scrape it into a loose powder. It's a lot of hassle and many of them don't work that well anyway. I've tried pretty much all the drug store loose powder foundations I could find (Physician's Formula, CoverGirl, Maybelline, L'Oreal, etc.). None of them are as good as this Neutrogena stuff. It doesn't smell bad, it's nice and sheer if you only apply a little but can be built for a bit more coverage, and you get a nice amount of it for the money. I alternate between two different colors depending upon the season, and I've found there's quite a bit of leeway before either of them looks too light or too dark. It's never too pink or too yellow and never look unnatural. It would be nice if it could provide a tiny bit more coverage, but I don't think that's the intention of this product. I think most people are cool with using a little liquid concealer or a base foundation instead (again, I'm in the minority for hating that stuff). All in all, I kind of wished I had just stuck with this rather than trying to find better elsewhere. Would have saved me a lot of time and money. I think if you have super warm or super cool undertones and need something really specific, this might not work as well for you, but otherwise, I'm not sure there's anything better.

Easy application and great for mature skin.

Not really great coverage compared to the more expensive brand Saie I normally use. Probably good enough to take the shine down on your face if that's all you're looking for

Been using this powder for YEARS. Made the switch from Bare Minerals because it costs 5 times the amount for 1/6 of product. I love this powder. It blends perfectly & doesn’t clog my pores or make me break out. Still has minerals and SPF. It even smells nice. Amazing coverage. Lasts all day & even when I forget (this is very rare) to wash my face & just fall asleep I still wake up with coverage.
