In Fully Charged , Joe Cross shares what he's learned since filming Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead about staying healthy in an unhealthy world. Whether you've followed the Reboot diet and are looking for help in sustaining your success, or looking for advice that will help you lose weight and adopt a healthy lifestyle, this book is full of inspiration and encouragement, as well as practical tips for diet, exercise, and mindfulness. Adopt Joe's 7 keys and thrive! 1. Change Your Relationship to Food (Don't Abuse Food) 2. Change Your Diet (Eat the Right Stuff) 3. Change Your Habits About Food (Find a New Groove) 4. Embrace Community (Get a Little Help From Your Friends) 5. Maintain the Machine (Follow the Upkeep Manual) 6. Practice Mindfulness (Chill Out) 7. Respect Yourself ''Before I started juicing, I was overweight and taking medication to treat an autoimmune disease. By drinking only fresh vegetable and fruit juices while making my film Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead , I lost weight, got off the medication, and began to feel better than ever! Today, I still drink a lot of juice and eat a balanced diet centered on fruits and vegetables. But I've also realized that staying healthy is a lot more complex than just what you eat. I've distilled what I've learned down to 7 Keys to health and happiness. Paying attention to these 7 keys helps me thrive.'' --JOE CROSS Review: Excellent book to learn "what's next beyond juicing" - Joe is my inspiration point to start not only to juicing but also to the healthy living. Watching his first film (Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead) was the beginning to my radical change in my life. It was the period of a difficulty in my time in many ways, health being primary. I lost some good amount of weight, cured my insulin resistance and got rid off the fatty liver syndrome all because of juicing. Then, I got sucked into the world of juicing and healthy nutrition so heavily that I ended up writing my own book, all due to the main inspiration of Joe's great work. I think we should see Joe as a health evangelist. Then I saw this book, Fully Charged, and read it pretty quickly. The book mainly touches on points beyond juicing. The language of the book is very candit, sincere and reflects the views of a layman. He never dictates any points, but shares his experience. Anyone who gets into the healthy living passes through all these points that Joe mentions in his latest book. It is the art of healthy living, via the way we treat ourselves, through our relations with food, and most importantly, the way we treat the time, and how we live it. I guess, if there is one book read about healthy living, I'd say it is this book. The most fantastic part of the book is the way Joe wrote it. He is like any ordinary human being, with weaknesses in some and strengths in others, like many of us. He never claims to be Mr.Ideal with six packs, avoiding the good parts of this mortal life. Instead, he shares his journey, and the things he learned throughout this journey. I must admit that I found it very useful even for me, who has been heavily reading and watching on healthy living since 2011. Read the book, and you wont regret it. His main message, which I also agree is that juicing is a great way to beging a journey towards healthy living, but it is not everything. This book is mainly on the "other things" beyond juicing, explained in a very simple and straightforward way. There are of course nice touches on juicing, quite naturally, but if you are one of those, who discovered and experienced juicing, and then wondering what next, this is the book to read. I read the Kindle version, and enjoyed it very much. Once again, thanks Joe!!! Review: Great Book. Up to Joe Cross' usual standards - Great Book. Up to Joe Cross' usual standards. I love everything he has done, videos and books. This continues the journey. This is just as inspiring as everything else, but this moves on to help us be able to continue being healthy, and not slip into the trap that most dieters slip into once they have reached their goal. Tips to help us continue with healthy habits. It comes at a really good time. Joe was a major inspiration for my 45 pound weight loss. I'm not quite where I want to be, yet, but when I get there I know these tips will help me stay in the space of continuing to eat healthy. Thanks, Joe, for continuing to be an inspiration to so many. By the way, I also highly recommend his first video "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" as a good starting point on a weight loss journey.

Great information & motivation on how to get healthy through juicing.
Enjoyed the info. A little slow and boring in a few areas but if you push through and keep reading, you can learn a lot. I did. Overall, I enjoyed the book and am successfully completing my first 15 day reboot tomorrow. Lost 17 pounds so far. The program works!

For Regular People!!
I have purchased 3 of Joe's books and I keep re-reading parts of all of them for continued support and inspiration. I love Joe because he is a regular (but funnier, smarter and better looking than most) guy, he is not a doctor, a nutritionist, just a regular Joe! I am just a regular girl that is trying to stay as healthy as possible heading towards old age! I appreciate the simplicity that he uses to explain things, to show you how to do what he does. I appreciate that he is human, that he does not scold or shame anyone. I did a 7 day reboot and I couldn't believe that I could do it! Now I am trying to make the myriad small changes required to eat a plant based diet 95% of the time. As Joe says, I can go to the fun part of town, I just can't live there anymore!! Thank you Mr. Cross, for all of the wonderful tools that you have put out there for us regular, unhealthy people! And, I am spreading the word!!

Essential for taking charge of your health
An incredibly honest, touching and expert approach to moving towards a plant-based diet in the real world. I am once again moved to action with his positive and caring attitude. The real trick to taking charge of your health is not to just "diet" but to transform your thinking into something that will work post-diet (or post reboot). Joe Cross tackles this in his charming, informative and practical manner that is really helping me.

I love how Joe decided to share more of his story ...
I love how Joe decided to share more of his story and life. I've watched the movie and had the questions he speaks about in terms of "What do you juice?" "What type of juices did you make?" and etc. Of course I've experienced the Post reboot and found myself struggling. Joe let's you know you're not alone and gives great advice to prepare of the next phase. I thoroughly enjoyed the passage from Phil. He definitely inspired me and I wanted to know how he was doing.

Encouraging Read for a Fellow Whole Food Warrior
I found this book to be a great encouragement as I pursue a whole food diet. The stories of those who had rebooted their health with juice fasting and then lost ground by going back to the SAD were very insightful. This verified to me that falling off the wagon is not worth your health. Joe gave practical tips that he uses to stay on track.
