Rico Organic Tenor Saxophone Reeds Strength 2.5, 3-Pack

Excellent long lasting reeds.

Theses Reeds last and give true sound according to my band student granddaughter and her band teacher.

I've tried just about all the tenor reeds on the market except the really cheap Chinese products. In my opinion, the Ricco tenor reeds do the job, last at least as long as any other brand, and are great for the price. I use them daily.

Works well, and are cheaper than Vanduran reeds. A bit of a learning curve from what I’m used to, but work well. But, if you have some more money, I would recommend getting Vanduran reeds. These ones almost felt like they weren’t sanded down (if that makes sense). First I played my low D to high D scale, and had a little bit of trouble, but worked out in the end.

Quality is perfect. I only have broken one and I’ve had these for about a month and practice every day. They function well, but they have a little bit of squeak. The ease of play is good and I would recommend getting these reeds.

To preface, I'm new to the sax. I got a cheap Glory sax and ordered these based on the recommendation from several reviews and reading a lot. The idea was to get an easy to start with reed. As I understand, some reeds in any given pack will be bad. I practice 1 hour a day 5 days a week and put them into a rotation. While I can definitely hear a difference between reeds and find some to be easier to play than others, the 5 I randomly took out for my initial rotation all seem to be "good reeds" in that even with little experience I can play them all. I've been playing for a bit over a month now. I didn't start doing a rotation till after I had been playing for a week so the first reed has been played for 9 hours or so. I've not noticed any degradation in play so far over that time. It is possible that is a matter of my abilities increasing at the same pace as the reed is degrading but I'm happy. I expect after I've burned through these reeds I'll upgrade to #3s but at this point I'm really happy with them.

I use them now since a couple of months. They have become my standard reeds. The overall quality is good and consistent. You don't have to through away many of the reeds.
