Very pleased! :) *by W***R on June 15, 2019* I was concerned about this purchase due to some of the less stellar reviews, but I could not be more pleased! I've bought a few manicure sets in the past and more often than not they wind up feeling and looking quite cheap, but this one is the opposite. I'm extremely happy with the quality and aesthetic appeal of this set. The case is feminine and beautiful, and all of the tools not only look great, but also feel well made, strong, and they each work perfectly.I just received the kit today and immediately tested out each tool by giving myself a mini manicure. The clippers are sturdy and sharp, the scissors cut very well (not dull like some I've bought in the past), the tweezers are nicely sized (basically full size as opposed to mini) and they line up and clasp tightly and precisely, the cuticle pusher is well made, and my favorite part -- the glass nail file -- is the perfect compact size I was looking for, plus it's very thick and strong, not to mention that it files extremely smoothly. I was worried it might have that yucky "drag" that gives me a sensation similar to nails on a chalkboard, but it's not that way at all. Just smooth, effective, and no annoying drag. It leaves your nails with a finely polished edge.This kit is the perfect size for travel or keeping in your purse, bedside table, or glovebox. As for the color, it's hard to capture in the lighting of my included photos, but it's more Rose Gold than pure gold. However, the tools are a little more distinctly Rose Gold than the case itself.Lastly, I would 100% feel good about buying more of these as little gifts. It looks much nicer and more glitzy than your average manicure kit, plus it comes in a very attractive and giftable box (see pics). Sometimes items like this arrive in a box with a ton of grammatical errors and typos that make it look cheap and obviously from another country, but this one is very professional looking, no errors, and it also has a visual guide on the back to explain what each tool is for (not that it isn't self-explanatory to most people, but a nice touch nonetheless). The box states the kit was designed in Brighton, England and manufactured in China.Oh also one final note -- Unlike another reviewer, nothing in mine looked used or damaged, including the box. I'm guessing perhaps their's was just a returned item that slipped past quality control. Point is, based on my experience I wouldn't let the negative reviews deter you. I think this kit is fantastic! I'm going to be ordering more as gifts to tuck away for other ladies. It snaps closed slightly imperfectly, but prior to getting this set, I’d just haphazardly throw my nail scissors in my makeup bag and hope it didn’t poke through anything. It makes me really happy looking at and using these tools.I was also really excited because it’s my first nail clippers ever...and they make life so much easier!One thing to note is that opening and closing the nail scissors created little scratches on the metal, as if the sides are screwed too tightly together, the scraping causing the golden coating to slough off.
