This is exactly what we needed. Our old case had split in half but everything else still worked. So glad we could just buy a replacement case and save some money and hassle of having to get a new key cut!! Very happy.

My old key case cracked and broke and I was walking around with my trashy taped up key. Ordered this shell as I needed a replacement. The installation took 5-10 minutes and mostly took that long because I had to watch some tutorials. I did have trouble figuring out how to reassemble the fob back together. The key portion does need to be SLID into the non button side (sliding from the top down) then the 2 halves can be snapped back in place. My 2008 Honda CRV key fit perfectly. Some reviewers mentioned that the key holes don't entirely line up and they had to drill or enlarge the whole for it to line up. I did not have to do that at least with my fob. However, I initially attempted to re-use the OEM screw that came in my old fob but it was slightly thicker than the one provided and could not be used. I did end up using the screw that came in the kit and it did fit, however once I applied more pressure to tighten the screw (which you do need to put some downward pressure) the screw began to strip. I had to stop. The screw did go in well enough that it was sturdy and secure but it sticks out just a hair and isn't as flush as the original. I could purchase a silicone cover to 1. protect the key fob and 2. bring that smoothness back so it's not a deal breaker All in all, it's not a 100% perfect fit but it is a great fit for a Honda CRV and for $5.50 it is absolutely worth it. Going to a dealer or anywhere else would have been way more costly and honestly not needed. The only con I had was the screw quality, therefore 4 stars.

After 15 years of constant use the Key Fob to the CRV was badly worn looking and starting to fall apart. This item was just what I needed. It was easy to transfer necessary parts from the old Fob to make it look and work like great. I am very pleased.

My old key fob was held together by electrical tape and some crazy glue. I removed the electronics and key from the old fob and followed the instructions included to reassemble it. The key fob works perfectly. It is an exact fit.

I really like this key fob. It was easy to put together and fairly well made. The only drawback is that the pieces didn’t line up with my key for a screw to go in, so it came apart one time when I went to start my car. It was very quick to put back together, but I wish it lined up better. I included a picture.

Tengo una Honda CR-V 2011 y he cambiado la llave en varias ocasiones. El costo en cerrajerías y agencia Honda es muy alto y al fin de cuentas no dura. Esta opción es mucho más económica y muy fácil de reemplazar, toma sólo 3 minutos y no requieres herramientas adicionales al desatornillador incluido. La llave ya reparada se siente robusta y cumple su función. Ya pedí otra para reparar el repuesto también. Muy recomendable.

I purchased 2 key covers. First one fit but had to be held together with krazy glue. I just opened the 2nd key cover. It was missing pieces as well it did not fit my key. Seller asked for photos of my key as well as what I received, then they said they would gladly replace even though I was past the 30 days. Then I received another message that they wouldn’t replace & Amazon would have to deal with it? Real good way to do business, should’ve just said no to begin with instead of asking me to upload pics etc. for the replacement. Waste of time. Lesson learned, always check your orders & deal with reputable sellers who stand behind their products. PS: A tip for these key covers, buy a silicone cover to help with the key covers not staying together.
