Even with its "issues" this is a GREAT keyboard for the right people.
I LOVE this keyboard for all the reasons every other reviewer has stated & agree with the design issues mentioned as well. That being said I have had mine since the iPad air came out a couple years and it has worked flawlessly as can be within its limitations. After so much use over the past few years some of the keys are finally starting to act up as I open & start to type. Once they start working again they're fine until I need to use the case & open it again. I may have to tap the ones that act up repeatedly to get them going again. This has only started in the past couple weeks but more & more keys are being affected, so it's time for a new one & as you can see from the pictures this one is WELL wornThe reasons I am getting another is(1) because nothing else I've seen is as LIGHT & completely PROTECTIVELY wraps around the iPad &(2) while not glamourous I have figured out a sutible low tech solution to the cracking frame quality issue that this product most definitely has that works for me. A cheap clip with rubberized tips that holds the ipad in place very well (see the pics).(3) none of the other keyboard cases are able to be lightly wiped down & RESISIT DUST/DIRT like this one making it great in the field for me when in dusty construction environments.I hope my new one works as well or better than this one has but at least I'll know what to expect from it. I'm actually using this keyboard to type this review.

Great case, fits fine on Air 2, buy used
Purchased for iPad Air 2. Was nervous considering reviews about this keyboards' fit on the Air 2 but it fits fine. iPad seems securely slid into the case, and the magnets secure it very strongly when I prop it up to type... not sure what other reviewers took issue with.Keyboard itself is fine. Types pretty well. I don't like the visual look of the rounded keys, but their feeling when typing is perfectly acceptable. The "A" key is a bit weirdly shaped. Visual look of the case is nice - it looks & feels like an expensive case and people have asked me where I purchased it. Personally I think the little Logitech cloth tab is cute; I like it a lot.Case itself is nice and light. I was initially very skeptical about the lack of protection on the sides of my iPad but now I love the design where you just slide the iPad into the top part - it makes it so easy to remove my Air 2 and hold it alone on the couch, and then slide it back into the keyboard case when I'm done. I will never go back to a case which is awkward to remove from my iPad; I want to appreciate it alone sometimes. I read from other reviews that the plastic clips are the weak point. Well I paid $14 used for this case (came in perfect condition, great seller) so I am pretty unconcerned. As mentioned, I paid only $14 for this case used. Considering the plastic clip parts might break on you, I recommend used (there are a lot). I dunno if I would pay $100 new. Was worth every penny of what I paid and I'll buy a new one if this breaks.

limited functionality
The unit has limited navigational abilities. You can unlock with the keyboard, but not navigate to, open, navigate within apps or in many(almost all) cases input data in applications with the keyboard. With just that useful functionality this could have been THE product for the iPad, really turning it into a usable limited laptop replacement. Without it's just good for documents and the navigation is confined to only those kinds of applications. The rest of the time, it's just in the way, adding unneeded/wanted bulk and weight to a device that was designed to be simple to use in it's original form. This solves the single issue of data input for word processing and diminishes the products main appeal-simplicity of use. Without those functions it is not worth the price or diminishment of it's ease of use. If you have a primary need to word process though, you will find it useful. It's good for little else.

I Love this keyboard in spite of a few significant flaws!
I have several other iPad Air cases that I love and have kept for certain uses or special occasions. I love them, they are the ZAGGkeys Hinged ultra thin keyboard, and the NewTrent Airbender "Air" (not the 2.0). Those keyboards feel great to type on and don't require getting familiar with a new key layout, which is big in my book. They both work perfectly with the Auto Sleep/wake function which most keyboard covers are hit and miss at (including the NewTrent Airbender 2.0). That also is a huge factor in my estimation. This keyboard cover is very elegant looking, soft feeling and just very, very well designed. My only major gripe with it is the fact that the Tab key has to be used in conjunction with the "Fn" key so you have to press 2 keys together for it to work, same with the CapsLock, which is a hassle but who uses CapsLock that often anyway. My biggest complaint with this keyboard is the number keys are squished together in such a way that trying to hit "1" you instead naturally hit the "home" button and leave whatever app you're using and go to the menu screen. If you want to hit "2" you hit "1" instead and so on, because all the number keys are moved 1 space over to make room for that useless "home" button. One big like for this case is that the Auto Sleep/Wake function ALWAYS works upon opening or closing this case... BUT I've noticed very frequently when ever I handle this case while it is closed it tends to almost always wake the iPad up without even opening the case, just by handling it while it's closed. You have to be very aware of this unwanted feature to keep from accidentally wearing your battery down when not even using your iPad. This is a big complaint to me as well as the unfamiliar keyboard layout. The Good things about this case that to me make it one of if not THE favorite cases I have ever tried (and i've tried at least 15-20) is the fact that1. it is so thin, and light you wouldn't even know it was a keyboard case.2. It feels velvety and soft and even looks like a nice leather case, very classy and elegant.3. It has awesome magnets that when it clicks into its upright position it won't be flopping around and falling flat on you like other similar keyboard cases. You can even pick it up by the iPad while it is in it's upright position and it won't even come undone from it's proper position!4. The keyboard is very roomy. They have squished the number keys, which I don't like but for regular typing of letters it is about the best out there, because they did take away the room that normally would be used up by the CapsLock and Tab key and made all the rest of the keys roomier and more natural feeling... A very great trade off IMO.5. Great connectivity, no long wait when you start typing to wake the keyboard up. It just works.I could probably go on and on about the great feel and awesome advantages of this keyboard I'm amazed at how happy I am with it in spite of the very big gripes I have about it. IMO this keyboard case is well worth even the high price you pay for it because of how far advanced it is over other keyboard cases even when the negatives are taken into consideration. I love that I can take it to church or other formal situations without looking like a geek who brought his toy to play with! Great Job Logitech! You can definitely trust the name and IMO this awesome keyboard lives up to it's name and price! You owe it to yourself to at least try one!
