Cheaper than diecast aluminum but not nearly as sturdy
I bought this as an enclosure on a power supply unit for a DIY audio project. The aluminum is quite thin which is nice because it makes it easier to drill holes, file, etc. but not nice because I have to be very careful to not bend the metal as I'm drilling, etc. The enclosure provides good access due to two of the sides being attached to the top. I hope it is thick enough to provide good RFI/EMI rejection for my PSU but time will tell.

Nice metal box for projects.
I used this for an easy access box for a garage oven control box. Works good and because of the configuration I could bolt it on and still remove a cover and get into it without any issues! I like the way it’s built and also that it’s light weight but still has the strength I need in it!

Exactly as described, and what I needed.
Not much to say here. the aluminum box is exactly as described. Size is spot on, and the halves fit together nicely. it is probably best to consider this item weather resistant, but not weather or dust proof. It is certainly not waterproof and was not designed to be. It drilled very nicely to mount. This item is not a steel enclosure and will not be quite as rugged. I was more interested in heat dissipation, non corrosive metal, and expense, so the aluminum enclosure seemed right for this project.

Basic Aluminum Box
Basic aluminum box. Comes unfinished and was easy to paint. Ended up making a relay box out of it for my Jeep and it is working great. Comes with two screws to secure the top and base together. I ran a small bead of silicone down the seams to make it a bit more watertight, but drilled some holes in the bottom to make sure if any water got in, it would have a way out.

Nice...and sharp.....
It's a nice box. Only issue is that every edge and corner is a perfect razor. Order a box of band-aids while you are at it.

Thin gauge metal, otherwise fine
This is a lightweight basic box, it's what you make of it. I like the fact that it's unfinished, I was able to cut it on a plasma cutter then paint as desired. No problems, no surprises. A basic aluminum box.

Three Stars
Nice project box. Pressure dimples hold the top and bottom pieces together. Screws holes would have been better.
