Review: Very easy to do and use - This oil sample kit comes with everything you need and they give you a little packet to put it in and mail it out to Colorado to a lab.. when you do get your results via email they are labeled and analyzed correctly and are very easy to read.. I changed to this one because I was buying the wix oil samples but they didn't have return postage or nothing and the analyzation of the sample when it came to your email wasn't as good as this one
Review: Oil analysis - This is a great product. I encourage everyone to try. Especially if you have had issues and a mechanic has had to work on the internals. I had a new pick up. Shortly after getting it bent rod and some other things. I waited for two oil changes just to give them the benefit of the doubt. I took an oil sample sent off and it came back with very high levels of copper and lead. This being a 6.2 Chevrolet Silverado they are having major issues. Chevrolet would not help me because the motor has not died. So I traded it off. We drive long trips in that pick up. If it was to shut down at -30 -40°, that would be super dangerous to me and my family. Not worth the risk. Check your Oil people. Not only to know when things are going wrong. It’s the safety of yourself and others on the road.

A: About 3 ounces, fill the bottle in the kit 3/4 full.

**Q: Will this product distinguish between synthetic and crude-based oils?**
A: No it can not.

**Q: have 55 gallon drum, not sure of what luid, would this tell me if hydraulic aw 32 or if it is oil 10w30 vs 15w40?**
A: No it will only tell you the break down of the contents in the oil

I didn’t think the review was very accurate . When I contacted them they didn’t seem to know much about engines . They said that the oil had a high concentration of dirt ! I knew that ! They said it had to much chrome in it . I asked where that could come from . They said pistons . I’ve never seen a chrome piston !
