Filled the room with smoke / Appears to have started on fire
Appears to have started on fire. Filled the room with smoke and the insides are charred. All of my electronics are protected by APC UPS's (3 CS500's / 3 RS 1500's / 1 XS1000) all have been in service for many trouble free years and I only use APC genuine batteries. After this one appears to have started on fire and was unable to get any help from APC, I am now replacing them with Tripp Lite and Cyber Power.Another reviewer said APC had a recall but it ended in 2008 and APC will not honor it anymore.My APC CS500 is still in a box in my garage if ANYONE at APC cares to find out WHY it apparently started on fire.
