The Taxidermists Woodshop Black Walnut "The Deer Stand" Antler Mounting Kit

I liked it so much I purchased 2 more. I also bought some 4" stickers that looked great. The combination of the plaque, stickers, and antlers looked great!

Pretty solid product like it a lot easy to hang. I love that you can take down the antlers with the bracket still mounted on the wall, but the gap between the wooden plaque and the metal shelf is only 2 1/4 inch most skull caps are a lot bigger than that. I had to cut about an inch off the back of mine to make it fit. Will definitely be buying this product again.

This items is well made. The wood was walnut and nicely stained. It was easy to put together. The hardest part was cutting the skull to fit the opening. If you measure before you cut, you'll save yourself some time. The parts list included a nail, but I found none. It looks nice on my wall.

The idea behind it is really good, but the screws that hold the bracket to the plaque, the holes were stripped out and didnt hold anything, had to replace with larger screws, redrill the bracket holes, but all in all a good item

I bought 2 of these for my sons bedroom, but they looked so nice we moved them into the livingroom. You do want to make sure you put them on a wall where they will be primarily viewed head on. I really like how easy it is to drop a rack into them. They are easy to put on the wall

Really like these mounts. Nicer than what we could find at our local sporting good stores. Antlers are not 'locked in' place but as long as they are up where they won't get bumped its no big deal. *Update* 1 year later, purchased 2 additional mounts in black walnut. They are a slightly darker stain than our previous purchase. Still happy with them, they are actually prettier, but others might not be ok with the variation if adding to a collection.

My son has a girl friend that started hunting with us last year. Last year she took 2 does and wasn't able to find a shooter buck. This year she killed a nice 8 point that was way bigger than anything my son has ever harvested. So, I took this mount and had the trophy shop make a tag with her name on it for Christmas. The mount is simple but nice looking. Her name and harvest date on the "trophy metal" really set it off. I will probably buy more because she is totally hooked on deer hunting now. By the way, my son has decided that he doesn't want me to take his girlfriend hunting any more.

Very nice. Like the ability to switch antlers.
