Great for dictating in EHR
I use this to dictate my chart notes in our EHR. Works well.

Make sure you have the software
It’s a great product if you have the compatible software. I did not, so it had to be returned sadly.

Just pay the difference and purchase through Nuance.
This is my 2nd one. The first one stopped working within a couple hours of dictating. I called Nuance. They did not have the company listed on the label as a legit Nuance retailer. I then called Amazon. I explained the problem. Amazon sent me another one. It allows me to dictate. The only button/function that works is the main dictation botton. And BTW it’s not a PowerMic lll. Amazon is selling it as a PowerMic lll. The box it was sent in said PowerMic lll When I insert it into my desktop or laptop computer it comes up as a PowerMic ll not a PowerMic lll. It’s not worth the money or frustration.

Made my life much easier!
I have been using this device for one month on daily basis. I am a doctor. We use Centericity as EMR and clinically speaking software for dictation. This device offer significant improvement over plantronics headset I used before in term of speech recognition. I am finding myself less likely to touch keyboard to correct things. Additionally the multiple function buttons can be configured to open different menus in the EMR.

Bulky, shuts off after a few minutes requiring unplug, replug
USB cord not easily replaced. Ergonomics okay. Rather large and unwieldy. Have to unplug and plug back in after a few minutes of not using.

Exceeded my expectations
After using a variety of dragon products for the last few years, I was a little skeptical when I begin receiving messages that my device may not be producing the best sound quality. I had recently migrated to Dragon medical one – and was noticing some gaps in dictation qualityI’m absolutely blown away by this product. Not only is the dictation quality flawless, but the ergonomic design and buttonology Is a game changer. It just works, intuitively and naturally. Installation was basically plug and play. I did spend a little time configuring the buttons to my preferences-but that’s not really necessary.I can’t remember a time when a product so exceeded my expectations. This one is a winner!

Poor customer service
Product worked well initially however after approximately 8 months it stopped working. I contacted the seller who claimed they would repair/replace for 49.99 and resend one a day after I shipped it back to them. They have received my product over a week now and no response. I wasted time and money shipping this product back to seller without a response and had to purchase a new microphone elsewhere. I’ve used these mics before and quality is great but unfortunately the service from this seller is not. I’d advise looking elsewhere when purchasing a dictation mic.
