VERY CUTE WAY TO HIDE TISSUE BOXES

Very cute !! But I am glad that I read the reviews - especially from the customer who suggested to cut the top of the square Kleenex box to facilitate pulling the tissue up. Without that hint it would be hard to get continuous "tissue feed"

Really cute, but trouble getting the tissues out of the chimney.

It *is* plastic. Quite lightweight and easily cleanable. Thickness is good - about the same as an american quarter; enough for it to keep it's shape well and not warp. There was a label on it but I didn't have any trouble removing it. Other people mentioned removing the top of the carboard tissue box but I don't find that to be worth the trouble. I just get the first tissue or two going, pop the cover over it and tease out the first tissue. I find that getting a tissue out is about the same as when I just have the box of tissues with no cover. Sometimes I can get one out one handed, sometimes I need two hands. This is not an issue for me since I bought two of these and I tend to kind of move them around the house, so I like them more as an asthetic thing (cute little house vs ugly/randomly patterned cardboard) rather than a "make it easier to get a tissue" thing so, if getting tissues out using only one hand is important to you, be aware that these are light and have no bottom to them and you will need to figure something out to make this work for you. I am highly satisfied with these.

TISSUE BOX I had previously bought the White Umbra casa Tissue cover and found it quite charming, but seeing it it as a blank slate I couldn't help but start to think of ways to customize my little house. The house works super well and was perfectly cute by its self before adding decoration tape. It fits your average tissue box perfectly and creates the illusion of a puff of smoke emerging from the chimney, tissues pull out with little to no resistance so you don't need to worry about taking the box with you when you go to grab a piece. WASHI TAPE That was when I discovered this washi tape. I found designs of washi tape that really appealed to me and decided to decorate the tissue cover. It worked fantastically! Here I used skinny washi tape as a boarder between the roof and main shape of the house and larger washi tape for the large areas. It worked brilliantly. Its perfect for temporary decor or for journals and scrap books, I could also see this working swell on lockers and mirrors. It worked really well in over lapping layers and for my purpose, I followed up by reinforcing the ends of the tape with clear masking tape (I imagine packing tape would work just as well or better for clarity). Over all they are both great products with a lot of creative potential!

This tissue box cover is so cute! I love that it’s white so I can paint it to match my decor. It’s a nice quality plastic. I ordered two, one for each bathroom. Now I’d like more for my other rooms. I might even paint it to look like a farm house. Fits perfect over the square boxes of tissue. Looks like a chimney with a billow of smoke.

This should actually be like a 3 star plus. It is cute, as pictured and priced fairly at $8 - that's probably the max I'd pay for it. It is a thinner plastic than expected, and therefore looks a little cheaper than expected. Large label on the side required nail polish remover to get adhesive off. I had hoped to use it in the living room or guest room, but it's going in the grandkids' playroom due to the cheaper vibe. It is as pictured and cute - just not quite what I was looking for.

I'm gonna be perfectly honest - we don't really use tissues in my house. I sneeze A LOT, and have to blow my nose after every sneeze otherwise my nose will run. Also, my nose will often bleed for no apparent reason so I always have a roll of toilet paper by my side and we pretty much use toilet paper for other tissue related things as well. Tissues are a great idea, but the way I go through them, too expensive too fast. I don't want to buy cheap tissues because they aren't soft, so we use toilet paper. Anywho. So I saw this house tissue cover thing on a blog I frequent and thought it was the cutest thing. I read the reviews, it really is plastic and thin and light - almost feels like the same thickness of plastic cup from taco bell. But for me, it sits over the tissue box with one pulled out, the white goes perfectly with other random white things in my living room / entry way without being ostentatious, looks pretty but is not terribly functional. Because we don't use tissues, we won't have the issue where the house doesn't hold the tissue box down - if you are frequently going to be pulling tissues out I see how this could get annoying fast. But it's cute and suits my needs perfectly.

This box does not have a base so the tissue will fall off when you carry the box.

The product is lovely, but the delivery person left the package outside the building intead of ring the bell of the appartment with my last name... I went out home minutes later to buy something and I found it at the entrace/street. It was good luck, but I hope that it never happens again.
