i have a half ton 2011 chevy with a plow will this help my heat problem

Is your tranny running hot or your engine? If both this is a start. I bought this cuz my 9 f250 wasn't shifting right in highway when towing a boat installing this I have no problem going 80 miles an hour if I want

Although these kits are generic and very versatile, I strongly suggest that you check with Hayden Automotive tech support about your particular application. Also be aware that not all components/hardware necessary to adapt the tranny cooler to your vehicle may not be included in this kit - or any other brand kit for that matter - so some "shade-tree mechanic" ingenuity may be required. BTW - this Hayden Automotive cooler works well on my Avalanche and I have not had an issue with transmission oil temp since install.

Is this item returnable in case it doesnt work?

The only way it wont work is if it's plugged or installed incorrectly. Otherwise how can you determine if it doesn't work? You would need to document temperature before and after installation

Can this replace my oem trans cooler?

I will bypass the oem cooler bc, I live in the Az. n don't need to heat up the atf even more. The instructions say to run them both in a series. Find some fittings First... to connect to the trans. cooler lines...size diameter and fine thread n barbed n then to the Hayden cooler hose. I bought a second fitting from Hayden like one that came with it It's still too hot here to install, and deal with more aggravation if things don't work out. good luck
