Inversion tables have been a proven therapy that is recommended by physicians to alleviate back pain, increase flexibility, and improve joint health simply by using it for minutes every day. When inverting, the force of gravity counteracts compressions and decompresses the spine which assists to realign and rehydrate discs. Another advantage of using a inversion table is that it relaxes tense muscles and reduces nerve pressure mainly concentrating on the back, neck, and hips. Additional benefit of using inversion therapy is improved shock absorption and ligament strength for hips, knees, and ankles. Through inverted exercises it is also a great way to tone and develop core muscles leading to more flexibility and better performance. Built with a steel tubular frame the Emer EE-INVR-08B is durable and can support users up to 300 pounds and is also foldable for space saving and storage in mind. With the innovative design it offers a full 180 degree inversion and with the upgraded easy ankle lock and release system it allows the user to lock and release the ankle locks with ease and prevents further injuries. The thick Padded Backrest platform is built for comfort. Review: This invention is the best thing since sliced cheese - I appreciate the quality of the Emer Deluxe Foldable Gravity Inversion Table for Back Therapy Exercise Fitness and also very much the low price. This inversion table is easy to assemble and it is so comfortable along with being easy to use. I bought this as a gift for my wonderful husband as he works very hard in the field of construction and he had heard about the benefits of inversion therapy for the ligaments and muscles, and was hoping to have one someday. We are very pleased with our purchase. Inversion therapy boasts many benefits. Some of the benefits we have personally experienced in using the Elmer Deluxe inversion table are as follows; Clearer thinking and energy as inversion therapy, even for a few minutes each day, increases one’s oxygen level to the brain. We also have a sense of relaxation and well being after using the inversion table. The benefit I like the most is that using the Elmer Deluxe inversion table improves my posture dramatically. I feel like my body is in proper alignment. Some people have claimed to actually see an increase in height. I can tell you that since using the inversion table standing up straight has become natural to me and makes me appear slimmer and taller as I stand as my body was designed to stand instead of slouching like a pair of baggy pants. My husband enjoys using the inversion table to stretch and refresh his back muscles after a long day at work in construction. I have to remind him not to fall asleep as he is so relaxed on the inversion table! One of the many benefits of inversion therapy is an increase in circulation which sends more blood flow to your head. While relaxing upside down on the inversion table I can feel the tension being released from my brain and body. There is much information detailing the benefits of using an inversion table on the internet and in various books relating to health and wellness. I looked at many different inversion tables when considering which one to buy and as time has passed I stand by the Emer Deluxe Foldable Gravity Inversion Table for Back Therapy Exercise Fitness for its quality, ease of use, and tangible physical benefits with regular use. Review: because of the good reviews. It's very sturdy - I would have given this product 5 stars except for one thing, and it's not the fault of the table. I knew what I was doing before I selected this one, because I had used one before. I settled on this one, because of the good reviews. It's very sturdy, well made, operators very smoothly, and you can operate it safely, if you live alone. The best feature is the pull/release bar in the front to put your feet in and out; much easier than others I have used. NEGATIVE: it came with no instructions/no operators manual; new, unassembled. If you get one without instructions, NEVER attempt to do this alone; NEVER use unless you have used one before. It was very difficult to put together by guess work, and took 2 1/2 hours to complete. There was no phone number or address or way to contact anyone. I went to my local Academy Sports to learn everything I needed to know about the parts and operation (they do not carry this company, but I didn't like the ones they carried; I like this one better). The worst part of the assembly was sliding the adjustable boom rod into the square bracket at the bottom of the bed board. It doesn't fit. You have to get a carpet knife or other razor and cut out the interior entrance of the square bracket; even then, it's a tough fit. This was a two person job, but you can do it alone if you brace it up against the wall which is what I did. You have to do this on the ground to get the two pieces to fit inside each other; you cannot drop the boom in place after you put the board together. The hard part is lifting the entire section up over the frame in one piece to drop it into the pivot arms on the frame. Once together, it works perfectly. Assembling it, have another person with you or have some skill. Use your own screwdriver and socket wrenches - it works easier. Would I do this again? Yes, and I particularly like this model. I have no idea if these come with safety and operating instructions, or if it was missing in my particular package, but it was well worth the price. I'm military retired and a cyclist, both cause back issues. This table is exceptionally handy to use whenever I need a stretch, and takes all of the bulging disc pains away.

Exactly What I Expected
Inversion table shipped incredibly fast, and was well packaged. The directions were a little difficult to read at first, but putting it together ended up being quite a bit easier than it looked like it would be. The table is sturdy, and comfortable. Works perfectly for what I need. Folding it up solo has proven to be rough when alone, but if there's somebody to assist, it's not bad at all. Overall, considering the lower price, I wasn't expecting anything over the top awesome, and that's exactly what I got. Functional, comfortable, with little frills. It's extremely easy to flip upside down, and back upright, but it also stable enough to allow inverted crunches, or stretching exercises without flipping back upright. The table works wonders for a bad back after a long day. I use it at least twice a day, every day. The one downside I've found is that the little lumbar support cushion is almost non-existent when laying on the table, and the Velcro does not go up high enough to even make it to the arch in my back. I've just done away with it completely. For those complaining of discomfort, or slipping in the ankle straps, I've found a pair of socks, or long pants to counteract that issue just fine.

The shipping was super fast. It arrived not even 72 hours after my order, on standard shipping. However, it looks like it suffered on the way here. The box looked like it had been through a mulcher. Parts of the unit were, literally, hanging out of the gaping holes in the box. I was prepared for the worst, but it wasn't terribly bad. The square plastic caps that close the ends of the main "bed" bar were sort of smashed and had to be glued to stay on, and the flat horizontal bar behind the headrest was bent at about a 45 degree angle. It bent back pretty easily though. There were also some missing pieces from the hardware. According the the assembly instructions, the headrest should already be attached to the main "bed" already, but mine wasn't, and the three screws that hold it on were also missing. Spent another $1.50 on bolts and locking washers because I just wanted to get the thing together. There was also some sort of hook tool that was supposed to be in the kit for grabbing some spring- missing- however, I never did find what it was supposed to be used for.. so no harm done. I guess. Also, in the instructions, it says to use X or Y HEX bolt, but a few of the bolts that came in the hardware packet were just phillips head, which was a bit confusing. So, bit of a hassle and, besides the above gripe, it all came together pretty easily in about 20 minutes. It feels sturdy and looks nice. I'm 6'1 200lbs and it worked well for me. I have a bulging disc and was on it for about 2 minutes. When I tipped back up I seriously thought I threw my back out again, but I believe that was just from my spine decompressing and then having to resettle. Kind of expected it. However, my fiance is 4'11 115lbs. Apparently this is supposed to accommodate someone her size, but the ankle cups were practically on her calves, which was extremely uncomfortable. We put a couple of books on the bottom "step" so it would clip onto her ankles properly. So, if you're on the shorter end, this might be an issue for you. Overall though, I feel it was a good buy at it's current discount (around $120). We've both been wanting one for a while, but didn't want to spend too much on one. The Emer is quite sturdy and comfortable, comes apart in 3 pieces for storage (which was important to us), and the clip handle height is a good design feature. However, because of the condition it came in, and the missing hardware, I am giving it a 3/5. Was tempted to give it a 4/5, but when I order a thing, I expect all the pieces to be there, and for it to be in good condition on arrival. The latter could be blamed on the carrier, but the product had no damage protection besides the cardboard, and that fault lies with the company that shipped it.

Outstanding Product
I ordered the inversion table, and it arrived quickly. It is well made, and is exactly what the description said it would be. The table is sturdy, and very easy to operate. Be advised, there are no operating instructions with this product. However, it doesn't take much to figure out how best to use it. The assembly instructions are not much assistance either, but pictures say a 1000 words, so it was a snap to put together. The headrest was minus one threaded screw hole (out of three), but even without the third screw installed, the headrest secures firmly to the table. I am extremely pleased with this product, and the immediate benefits I have experienced from its use has really changed my every day life. Using the Emer Inversion Table immediately brought relief to my lower back and neck. I noticed the very first time I used it, that I had a decrease in pain. Now that I have used it for a month (twice daily) for about 5 minutes each time, I feel great. Pain has diminished almost completely, and I have gained a lot of flexibility as an added bonus. The price is right... the construction is solid... and the benefits are great! This is one of the best purchases I have made. Well worth the investment.

Death Trap. Not a Toy. Dangerous. Please do not buy this. It is cheap, and I could have died because of it.
This is an immensely dangerous pile of garbage. We were happy with it at one moment in time but that was short-lived when it decided to magically collapse one evening, dropping me on my head, nearly breaking my neck, leaving me stunned in a paralyzed state for a good hour, causing a hospital visit for a fractured hand and severe bruising. This happened two weeks ago, and I can now get back to life just enough to leave this review. This is cheap. It is cheaply made. It is one of the cheapest, if not THE cheapest inversion tables available in the United States (not sure if this is made in China). Regardless, it is garbage. We were ooh'd and aah'd by it at first, distracted just enough to not notice the lack of ACTUAL durability." The gear brackets that latch to hold your ankles are poorly designed to deteriorate quickly, and there's no way to know that the latches are breaking down over time. Just don't do it. Don't buy it. Go to a doctor, chiropractor, or other medically trained person and get some input. Do not go the cheap route with this device. Invest in something higher quality that will not result in x-rays, possible lifetime paralysis of the body from a broken neck, and medical bills that destroy you, all because you wanted to save a buck on a back stretcher.

Nice product, terrible instructions, less than stellar ankle support
I should have gotten one of these long ago. Lets just say I have a LOT of back problems, my last MRI report on just my low back was 2 pages long. I have shrunk over an inch at 33 years old, since 2009. I got this the other day and put it together early this morning when I got off work. The instructions are a joke, but it's not too bad to get together. First thing you need to do is toss the wrenches and little "screwdriver" that comes with it in the trash and use your own tools. If you have a basic set of wrenches and a socket set, you will get along much better than using their terrible excuses for tools. Plus, you need to get everything nice and tight on this so it doesn't drop you on your head, and that's not going to be easy to do with those disposable wrenches. There's a (terrible) manual for putting it together, but that's it. No user's manual. No guide to tell you how long to hang, how often, what to avoid, what the cautions are. Seems like a big liability to me that it comes with absolutely ZERO instructions except how to assemble it. But, a google search will tell you all you need to know in absence of a proper manual. It looks nice. The slip-on Velcro covers for the sides don't fit very well, but it's not a big deal. I have a bad ankle that I sprained so bad I needed a cast, I did this over 15 years ago. It doesn't bother me much anymore, but once I started using this table, my ankle has been killing me. It really lacks in padding for your ankle. I weigh 195lbs, am 5'11'', and in good shape. It puts a lot of strain on the ankles so I will be rigging up some extra padding somehow. For now, I found that it helps just to wear my big high top work boots when I use the table. All in all, I would definitely buy this one again. It looks nice, it's sturdy and I trust my neck (and life) with it, looks good, etc... Great value, in my opinion.

Exactly What I Ordered and more....
Okay....I love to give good reviews for products I have bought online and through Amazon. This latest purchase is no exception... Here we go: Pros 1. The Inversion table arrived 1 day earlier than expected (woohoo!) So great job on delivery 2. The product was sufficiently packaged so nothing was damaged. 3. The instructions were clear to me (ex carpenter and contractor now a Petroleum Engineer) so.... 4. I took 10 minutes to unpack, dispose of recycleable materials in bin, vacuum up the bits and pieces and layout items 5. Install took me approximately 30 minutes from start to finish (and using for the first time....OMG! peace at last) 6. I'm 47 - 6'1" and weigh a whopping 250 lbs - Its well built and sturdy - no question about it 7. I found the system that locks your feet/ankles in place to be....comfortable or how about uncomfortably good???? Very secure, easy to reach, has a locking pin (I've attached it to a small wire so as to not loose it), and I like the contoured ankle holders. 8. I have researched inversion tables for about 2 months - tried the Teeter (great table, too expensive for my taste and what it does), the Ironman (didn't like the ankle/feet holder rig thing), the Body Champ table (my son owns this one - once again didn't like how the feet were secured), and that's it. For what I will use this for (hanging upside down) it is absolutely the best. 9. The table was $89.99 and the shipping another $33.64 for a total of $123.63 - If I were to go to my chiropractor that would cost at least $100.00/visit, massage therapist at least $80/visit, and if I went to an MD then that would run $125/office visit + whatever the hell else he could throw at me....So what I am saying is that for the money this is the best deal I've found in a long time. Now.... Cons 1. (and there is only one....) The back U-frame has two exposed holes....my shipment was missing one of the plastic plugs for those holes. I have contacted the seller and have every confidence that they will ship immediately. That's it people....if you have any questions please post and I will try to answer as quickly as possible.
