Amazing! But really sharp
Perfect for outdoors and archaeology kits. Careful, it is really sharp. Pack accordingly

Used for Archeological dig...didn't disappoint!
Used this for an archeological dig in south Texas last summer. The fit and quality is amazing. Despite everything I threw at it, it didn't fail. The welding where the handle meets the spade portion is solid and very well done. The handle is securely attached and doesn't come off. The steel quality is great, and it takes a good edge, which is necessary in order to do precision work in excavations. I wish I would have bought one for my son, because his big box store brand didn't quite do as well.

Does the job nice small trowel
Used in mason work and the connection to the handle a bit large adding some not needed extra wght. But other then that great quality and design not exactly great for tuck point work but still has a great use for moving mud.

Ahhhh, I love my trowel
I bought this trowel years ago to take to an archeological field school in Belize. This trowel was very sturdy and worked very well for those 6 weeks. Although that was the extent of my archeological dreams, I still use my trowel in my yard and garden and remember those hot, dirty hours and hours using this great trowel.
User
the real thing
This trowel is the real thing archaeologist use. My son does an archaeology camp in the summers and was delighted to have his own tool. He says this is the best size and just like the ones used by the park archaeologists. Great find!
User
Perfect size with some cons
Let me start by saying I use this daily for archaeology work, in all types of soils: sand, loam, clay, kitty litter...whatever. So far, this guy has held up really well...but I do occasionally worry about the steel not making it, especially in compact soils. Just do your due diligence in maintenance (and not let your fellow archaeologists make off with your handy dandy tool) and this trowel could easily last you for years.

Don't buy a NON Marshalltown
Marshalltown is the gold standard in Archaeology, at least in the United States. Marshalltown trowels are extremely durable and I've never had a handle twist on me; I've also never had the blade break off. I've seen Marshalltown trowels thoroughly abused and last longer than any other cheaper department store brand. One of my professors still has their original one from their first field school. They take a better edge and patina better than others. If you're an archaeologist, you already know to buy a Marshalltown. If you're a student buying their first trowel, buy a Marshalltown.

Longlasting trowel
This is a third order of this trowel (5in Wooden Handle). It is an amazing tool and perfect for archaeological excavations. This is a third order. First one I ordered back in 2012 and lasted 6 years.

prodotto molto buono
