Love this wand, highly recommend

I needed a curling iron for an event and was SUPER skeptical because in the past curls have never really stayed in my hair over the course of an evening without tons of cement-like product. I have hair down to my waist and it is super thick/coarse and heavy. And i have a lot of it (a blowout takes a full two hours and my hair's not curly). Final liability: criminal laziness (I airdry my hair every day and use a hairdryer / heatstyling products / flatiron once every 6 months, maybe. By my third use of this iron I'd learned I can go from plugging in the iron to out the door with full head of awesome beachy waves/ loose curls (the Gisele hair look) in literally <10 minutes (yes I have timed it!). The barrel on this heats up super quickly, maybe because it's not a huge diameter. I divide all my hair into only 9 kind-of-thick bundles-- 2 bottom left, 2 bottom right, 2 upper left side, 2 upper right and sort of one at the crown -- and I wrap each bundle all the way down the barrel w one hand while holding the iron vertically with the other hand. Hold each segment for 20-30 seconds. Swap hands to get the sections on the other side of head. Bottom line: I personally get better results than with a >$100 salon iron, and SO fast. I think wrapping more hair around a smaller super hot barrel is really effective -- much more so than smaller segments around a bigger barrel -- for both hold as well as look. It did take 2 botched initial tries (if your segments are too small you end up with cheesy ringlets), but once i worked out the right amount of hair to wrap each time pass of the iron, i get amazing bouncy loose curls and waves that last all day with ZERO holding product.

I have been in the market for a curling wand for a long time. I am very careful what I buy on Amazon. I always read reviews and look at ratings before buying anything. I did see a lot of mixed reviews on this curler but thought I would take the plunge. What eventually swayed me to buy it was the price. It arrived today, I love that it's purple! (My favorite color!) and I just used it for the first time and I am beyond pleased with this product. It does look and feel a little cheesy, possibly made with cheap plastic. But it got the job done. I have very thick and long hair and it has always held curls very well, it just took a very hot iron to make it that way. I have a Remington curl perfect which I bought because I saw it in Seventeen magazine ~5 years ago. But I outgrew it because of how thick my hair was. It was taking me easily an hour and half to do my hair. With this wand I curled 75% of my hair in ~15 minutes. It's great! Exactly what I was looking for! If you want a super hot iron that is at a good price, look no further! The only thing I would say needed improvement was 1.I wish it had a temp on it 2. I wish it came with a better glove. I didn't burn myself but I can already see the holes forming in between the fingers and I've only taken it off 3 times. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Works well even for the thick, wavy hair. I’ve had everything from Hot Tools Professional, Beach Waver, Bed Head and Conair and until this day I swear the best wand I had ever used came from some small, unknown kiosk at our local mall many moons ago. It costed less than $40 and I forgot what happened to it upon getting married and moving it was not in the picture anymore. I went on to spend $100+ on brand names such as Beach Waver and Hot Tools both of which dropped the ball big time. This little tool came runner up to my old wand. I recommend this to anyone with thick, long hair it WILL wave it just give it a few extra seconds to make sure it’ll hold shape because I promise you it will! :)

It is quite good at its stated task. However, the international symbols for on and off are sometimes confusing, but I suppose memorizing them wouldn't be too difficult, lazy complaint. However, there's no indicator light, which compounds the issue. The thing generates serious heat (400*) so it's rather simple to sense if it's on or not... But to prevent burns, a little light might be nice. I have accidentally burnt myself - - not sure why I would do so on purpose - - and it's been a real searing pain. I chalk it up to a new device which will always take some getting used to. However, anything that can be done to avoid that is cool. No temp dial, but I always left my other one at the same point so this has made the simplicity of the tool appealing. It is easy to use, and the curls are lovely. The hair doesn't slip while curling, and it's very lightweight. My hair is quite thick and long, takes curl well, and it's been my favorite curling iron I've used. Well it's not iron, but old habits die hard. I haven't noticed damage, but I do use heat protectant in my conditioner.

This is a game changer!!! If you have thin, fine, long hair, that does not hold a curl no matter what type of curling iron you use, this will change your life! It does not have heat settings so it gets hot fast, be careful.

About 4 years ago, when I was awkward and in middle school, my local mall had a kiosk of these curling irons, and me not knowing anything about hair, I was AMAZED at how good the curls looked! The only problem? They were selling them for 200 FREAKING DOLLARS. Well I got one for Christmas and immediately felt bad and was so uncomfortable that my parents spent 200 bucks on a curling wand for me, and then my mom told me she got it on amazon for 30. Let me tell you something.. I do not spend more than like ten bucks on ANY beauty product, but if I would pay anything for this curling iron. 4 years later, and after trying other ones in between, nothing beats this wand. It is so so so so perfect. The secret to big natural looking waves, and to save about 40 minutes, put your hair in a high ponytail, split it in half, and curl half of it to the left, and half of it to the right. I also discovered this in my awkward stage. IT IS THE COOLEST THING EVER. YOU CAN WAKE UP AT A DECENT TIME EVERYDAY AND STILL HAVE FLAWLESS FREAKING CURLS. I have red, super thick hair, and it is probably one of the longest heads of hair at my school, and this only takes me about 20 minutes. Sorry for the paragraph, I just feel very strongly about this curling iron, lol.

I bought this because a celebrity I like has raved about it and her hair is beautiful. (She is no affiliation with the company so it was a legit review.) In all honesty it does heat up quick and gives me nice curls. My curls typically stay in all day, falling a little bit as the day goes on. The only reason why I gave it 3 stars is because up until this point I have been using my sister's Remington wand. (The pink one, I think it has pearl in the name.) That thing was AMAZING. It would keep my curls firm and tight for days. Even when I pulled my hair back in a pony tail, they would fall back down into beautiful tight curls hours later. If it hadn't been for my experience with the Remington wand then this wand would have received a higher review, but overall the Remington is a better wand for my hair. (Which is fine, but thick) I will say though I like how the shaft of this want is pretty much the same size, whereas the Remington has more of a point.

I just tried it and I'm very impressed- I have curly hair and like to add in a few for volume. I'm hoping this curing wand is for the long haul cause my last one lasted for 10 years-fingers crossed

Heats up fast Very hot

I owned my last one for 6 years and it finally died, so I purchased a new one, which died after 1 day. Amazon made the exchange process super easy, and my new one works perfectly. I would definitely suggest purchasing off amazon rather than the online retailer. As for the wand, it's AMAZING. Best wand I've ever tried, and my mom is a hair dresser. Curls typically tend to fall right out before i'm even fished curing my hair! This wand actually keeps the curl so well and will last all day! It works well on on fresh clean hair or dirty (second day) hair. It comes with a glove, which makes it super easy to work with the wand and doesn't make my hair all static-y. My hair is pretty thin, but it works on so many hair types! I've read online that the black wands gets hotter than the coloured wands, but I have not found this to be the case. Love this wand!!
