Is the warranty good on the Farouk chi flat irons?

NO!! After talking to Farouk about the two flat irons I have both having issues I was flabbergasted when they told me that " Their products are not to be sold on the internet and if purchased that way it voids the warranty!" I don't know how they can do that legally but it is even written on the insert in the box. One that I purchased had the plug plastic shatter exposing the wires. The other just stopped working and they would not cover either. I certainly got an education in this matter. The model GF1001 if made in the USA is a counterfeit if made in China it is authentic. I initially purchased two and just found out one is authentic and the other is not. I ordered a new one to replace the one that had the problem with the plug and the nNoteew one is counterfeit. It's hit or miss but no matter what even if it is authentic they WILL NOT warranty it. I am actually researching the legal aspect of not warranting it if purchased on line. The state of CA has very rigid consumer laws and I have a hunch they are violating them. Good Luck! ***they all say "USA" on the outside of the box

Can anyone tell me how hot this gets and is there a temperature control?

The iron gets hot, however in reading the box, the writing on the product and instruction booklet...no temperature is listed on anything.

Hi! does the flat iron chi work in europe, meanjbg 220v? thanks

Mine worked great, but don’t turn it up to full heat- the conversion causes it to be hotter than the temp settings marked. I usually use the full 410 degrees; I had it at about 300 in Europe witha converter.

Im getting super bad static when i use this straightener. Anyone else? If so, what helps that?

I get the same thing from every straightener I’ve ever used. Dryer sheets help with static
