it feels like cheap garbage. its not very sturdy. mine arrived with the led inside busted. This is not a bug zapper in the sense you are probably thinking. It has a fan running, presumably for cooling, and the nice blue glow you are expecting, it comes from an LED light hot glued to the inside of the plastic, which reflects off the fan blades. The electrical grid is there, and does its job, but this thing just feels cheap. If you pick it up too fast it would probably break.

I'll have to admit I was very skeptical about purchasing this product; however, I was really tired of these pesky mosquitoes that would sneak into our house. We also have some moths and flies that come in. I think it's safe to say that this zapper works. I will say that it only caught one mosquito the first few days, but as you can see by the picture it has caught mosquitoes, flies, and a small moth. I think this product is well worth the money spent. I leave it on all day and night. At night I make sure the main lights are off. I will say that even if it catches a few that's a few less mosquitoes feasting on my blood. Mind you that I've only used this product indoors, and I really don't think that many mosquitoes make it in to our house. Therefore, I will say that whatever it's zapped so far is fair. I bet it would zap far more if it were used outdoors while hanging out on the patio. There is a fan that sucks the mosquitoes towards their demise. The machine itself is very quiet, and I don't smell any burned stench of insects. Overall, this is a great product & I highly recommend it.

I've been having a problem with lots of little black flies in the soil of my houseplant. Tried numerous DIY remedies but there were still a number of them showing up. Used sticky traps and they caught a lot. I decided to try adding in this small bug light to try and accelerate the process. I haven't been disappointed in the results so far. I've had the bug light running for less than a week. You can see in the images how many have gotten fried by the electric grill. I used a small paint brush to clean out the grill onto a piece of white paper.So far, only issue I had was the led panel in my unit was not attached and was dangling around inside the plastic shell. As a result not much light really came out so it would be hard to attract bugs that way. I had to work to pull out the light panel and I attached it to the unit as you can see in my image. The light is much brighter now.

I love this this Bug zapper! However I’m Giving it 4 stars cause I wish the metal bars were closer together. I was watching the gnats fly right through the bars which kinda upset me cause there was a lot of them by my fruit bowl. It definitely works for the most part though! I haven’t seen it zap a big fly yet, it’s been about 2 weeks now. It zapped spiders, moths, and gnats so far! I found that it works best in a dark area. I’ve definitely seen an improvement in gnat control since I purchased this!
