Sennheiser Polycom Adapter Cable for Electronic Hook Switch for Soundpoint IP 430 and Above

Perfect, no lifter and easy to install.

In our office, we use  Polycom VVX310 VOIP Phones  - and a couple of them are hooked up to  Sennheiser OfficeRunner headsets .If you're using a Polycom phone with the Sennheiser OfficeRunner headset, you NEED this cable; even though it is pretty expensive.For anyone who doesn't already know, this EHS cable will allow the headset to control the phone (i.e. answer and hang up calls, as well as adjust the volume). At the end of the day, it will let your awesome new headset work how you expect...You will need to change the settings on the phone to work in Sennheiser hookswitch mode; but, that only takes a few seconds and a quick reboot. The white dip-switches on the back of the headset also need to be pushed to the up position - except for #1 (which needs to be down).At the end of the day, the cost is the biggest downside to this cable - but it will make your headset work so much better that it's pretty much required.

This device is just what I needed to make the Sennheiser Office Runner work as expected and without a handset lifter on my Polycom Soundpoint IP 335 desk phone. The instructions seem to be in error though but I was able to find the correct menu sequence to program my phone. Menu 3-1-1-4-2-2 check gets you to a Jabra DHSG setting that seems to work. I also felt this cable was a bit on the expensive side but compared to the cost of the headset and phone perhaps it is worth it. Thanks to Sennheiser for making an adapter cable and Polycom for making a phone that enables this without a clunky handset lifter. Much better!

Does what it's supposed to do - can't beat that.
