Great price and the included wand is a bonus eleventh piece in the set.
I had purchased an el cheapo stirring plate at first which had decent reviews and was dissatisfied with it even though it had decent reviews by most. So I did two things. First, I purchased these one inch (1") PTFE stir bars. Great price, good quality, and I'm generally happy with them although I had wanted to use my two inch stir bars instead. But I was still a bit unsatisfied with the stirring plate, so the second thing I did was to purchase a good quality stirring plate from APERO Instruments for about twenty bucks more than the first, rickety plate. Then I discovered that with a quality plate, it really didn't matter whether I used the 1" or 2" bars (these are the one inch bars I'm reviewing here), as long as you have a quality stirring plate you can use the one inch bars like these with the same great results as you would get with the longer ones, which fail to work at all with a crummy stirring plate - so bottom line? Make sure that you use a good quality stirring plate with a strong magnet and these one inch (1") bars will fit the bill nicely and for a reasonable price too! Plus, you get a bonus magnetic wand to pluck the bars out of the flasks or beakers or jars without having to pour them out or fish them out with forceps or your fingers, etc. Fantastic buy! Highly recommend these and I will buy more!

Use the way more than I expected. For mason jars I would get the next size up but these do ok if no particles are present.

off balance and rattle within vessel
these seem to be well constructed, but when in use they are off balance and rattle around in the vessel.
