My Big Animal Book (My Big Board Books)

The price of this Quality Animal Picture Book is a well done learning tool for kids! Nice opportunities to see kids bond w/ parents and grandparents! Pages are easy to turn but not so sharp that paper cuts should be an issue. This is a nice selection of birds, fish and mammals for kids to explore. The price is affordable and I received it the next day.

The pictures are great and my little one loves to turn the pages and.talk about each animal.

My toddler class has used this book for a few years now and they love it. It has also held up well. They binding is still intact and little wear is shown on the book.

Our 22 month old daughter loves this book, along with "Colors, ABC, Numbers" by the same author. The book is large, and filled with colorful pictures of all kinds of animals. There isn't any narrative to read, it's a grid of animals in different categories. Babies (with goslings, kittens, kids, etc), pets (dogs, cats, etc), on the farm (cows, horses, etc), birds, etc, etc, with each page spread representing a different category. The animals are then presented in a grid of squares similar to what you see on the cover photo, with the photo of the animal with the name printed below. That's all there is to the book, but our daughter finds it fascinating to point at each animal, say the names of those she knows and can pronounce, make the noise for the ones she can (and/or get us to make the noise). But when it's reading time, this is always one of the books she brings over. Plus, she'll open it up and read it by herself, as well. Really great book series.

It's a great book with pictures of animals and a riddle line at the bottom of each page makes the book even more fun. HOwever, i have 2 concerns. 1. the Parrot in the book in BLUE (more ash-blue) color. Personally when i think of parrots I think Green with a red beak...BLue parrots are called Hyacinth Macaws, thats what i know. There is a picture of a Macaw also in the book and its very indistinct, specially the colors. Macaws are such beautiful birds, different varieties, Blue, or the tri-colored etc.But the one in the book cannot be distinguished as such. 2.Another issue i have is with the picture of a LION. It says LION however the picture is of a lioness. Since this is an educational book, i want the information to be accurate. Otherwise it's conflicting to teach a child the difference between a male and a female Lion. I will upload the pictures. I sincerely hope the author changes these pictures!

This is my second time purchasing this book. Our original was so worn that we had to get a new one for the third kid. My 22 month old loves to “read” this book. The pictures are big, and easy for little ones to point too and we can name all the animals and the sounds. Well worth it!

This is a large hard cardboard page book suitable for large babies and toddlers. If you give it to a baby, they can't chew the pages as it's a stiff page book. It does provide them with lots of pictures, words, and colors to look at. BTW, there are LOTS of animals in this book. Most are domestic pets, farmyard animals, common birds, and some wild animals (lions, tiger, elephant, etc). Plenty enough for your baby's or toddler's curiosity to be aroused at an early age. Good enough for me to recommend.

Nice. Book with big images and all high resolution pics. Only bad aspect is that some of the animals aren't relevant to Indian context and the book seems to have missed a few common animals.

Esta muy bonito, grande y resistente sin embargo me hubiese gustado ver imágenes de las páginas antes de comprarlo pues pensé que traía una o dos en cada una pero tiene muchas fotos y puede ser un poco distractor para un niño pequeño
