I cannot vouch for any other dry shampoo types of product, but after hearing my friends rave about the concept, I decided to try this brand. I have darker hair so I thought I should buy something that wouldn't make my hair look ashy once applied. (I had read that could happen with some of the other brands that are white in color). ANYHOW, long story short--IT WAS AWFUL! I had to immediately put my hair up, and promptly washed it out as soon as I got home later. I do not have kinky/curly or nappy hair, but once this stuff was on, I don't think I could have pulled a comb through. I can't explain exactly what the product did, but it felt as though I had put tar in my hair. My hair did not feel like that before, it has never felt that way. Anyhow, If I could have given this (-)5 stars I certainly would have. I don't know if the positive reviewers on here don't mind that sensation, but I prefer the non-ratty hair feeling myself.
