Awesome trivia
I gave this as a gift, but the whole family spent days paging through and quizzing each other. There are several questions for each day of the year, but this book was so great that we couldn't help ourselves, and jumped around from day to day. Some questions are really tricky, but I would definitely recommend this book to anyone even slightly interested in trivia knowledge.

your own Jeapardy show source
It,s a gift but in scanning it, it covers a multitude of subjects. You'll either love it or fall asleep. I look forward to my family having our own Jeopardy show.

Loads of fun and informative
This is a wonderful and massive compendium (yes, there really are 8,888 questions and answers). It's not only loads of fun, it's full of fascinating facts, most of which you've never known. I agree with the reviewers who say it's too difficult overall. (I got barely 30% of answers correct; I would've done far better if my knowledge of pop culture weren't so anemic.) But a book like this *should* be challenging. And even when I was wrong or utterly clueless, I appreciated the education. The difficulty of questions aside, I thoroughly enjoyed inhaling this very cool book. It's not quite Ken Jennings' best (I like Brainiac and Maphead best), but if you're into trivia, it's well worth your time and money.

Please write a second book, Ken!
My team and I have used this book to entertain us throughout the COVID-19 Quarantine. Each week, we spend 30 minutes on zoom with me reading the events of a specific day, asking the corresponding trivia, and keeping score of the first to answer correctly. We all laugh at Ken's connections from events to categories and his wry sense of humor. This is a great book and I wish he'd publish a second. No other trivia book I've seen comes anywhere close to the breadth of topics and entertainment value.

Tough, tough, tough(and not all that interesting)
There certainly are tons and tons of questions and there are some really interesting little vignettes that usually contain interesting tidbits about events in the (sometimes distant) past on each day of the year. The biggest downside is that there are way too many facts that no one would have any interest in knowing or remembering and often when questions are interesting the clues are so vague as to defy you to answer. There are probably 800 or so categories with up to 20 questions in a category (and usually no more than 20 questions for each day. I was able to answer all questions in a category 3 times (each was a category of 5 questions only.) The questions are difficult, obscure, indifferently clued and often as not uninteresting but if you want the supreme challenge, this may be for you.

Super...
Viele interessante Fragen zu einem fairen Preis. Natürlich ist vieles speziell für amerikanische Leser, aber es bleibt genug übrig.

Exactly what you'd expect from Ken Jennings, he mixes ...
Exactly what you'd expect from Ken Jennings, he mixes it up and has various themed sections etc. so it certainly covers a whole lot of trivia. My only issue is that it is extremely focused on the USA which as someone from outside North America is frustrating. However if you're a fan of Ken Jennings (which I am) then you'll find his style quite endearing and hopefully retain some of the huge amount of trivia in this book.

Quirky and Interesting
I do like my quiz books and this one is a must as it includes a raft of questions you don't get in the traditional UK offerings.
