17.5 Inch Cast Iron Grill Grates for Weber Spirit 300/400 Series

Fits great, works great - Great! The previous grates (Not sure OEM but guessing they were) were made of folded iron with no surface coating. They burned through and warped but did the job until new ones were needed. These are solid steel rails with a nice porcelain surface. Did have to change the scraper to a softer scrubber type that won't scratch the surface but they clean up really nice using a water spray and scrubber while grate is still hot and immediately after cooking.

I've had my Webber Spirit II E-310 for around 6 years and have used the heck out of it, probably at least weekly, year round. Yep, I'm the crazy guy with the big poofy red coat grilling in the dark in winter. I love my grill and have always loved the porcelain-enameled grates it came with. After that much use, and cleaning it with a wire brush, the enamel had started to chip off and we starting to get small rust spots. I finally replaced the grates and the flavorizer bars (those had rusted through in spots) with SUS304 stainless and I'm so happy with the change. Everything cooks like before but with thinner grill lines, and clean up is way easier. They were a perfect fit, easy to drop in, look great, and should hopefully not need replacement again.

I was looking at a very nice new grill but the cost was pretty much prohibitive. I decided to put new burners in the old one instead. The old grates were cast iron, hard to clean, rusting in spots and these were a big upgrade for not much money relative to a new grill. They seem as heavy and strong as the originals and are a drop in fit. If you like your Weber, and I do, it's worth it to get more life out of what is still a decent grill.

These fit just right and are a good replacement for deteriorating cast iron grates. If you’ve had stainless steel grates before, however, you may not find these to be what you expect. I think they are almost like halfway between cast iron and typical stainless. The surface of the stainless grates on my old grill was shiny, round and smooth, making them relatively easy to keep clean. They were pretty much still like that when the grill around them had to be replaced. These QuliMetal ones are triangular with a rougher surface, in my opinion, quite similar to the surface of a cast iron grate. This makes them more challenging to clean, because food and grease becomes embedded in the rougher texture. I do like the sear marks, and I don’t mind the grates getting seasoned over time. But while these are definitely better than my old cast iron, they are harder for me to keep clean than my old stainless grates. I am also confident that these will rust more quickly than traditional stainless grates. The heat, grease, food, and cleaning of any stainless will eventually remove the anti-rust properties of the steel over time, and I believe the rough surface on these will accelerate that process. They’re fine. But they were different from what I expected coming out of the box. And I don’t believe they will last much longer than the cast iron ones did.

Fits the Weber Genesis II 300 Series perfectly. I love it, and at half the cost of Weber and with cross hatches.

These fit my Spirit E360 just like the original. The original set lasted 10 years and I probably could have squeezed out a few more but the chips were becoming more common. When these arrived I seasoned them like any other cast iron. I looked at them and wondered why there were feet on the top. Then it hit me, for 10 years I had the pointy side up and the flat down. For 10years I was using them upside down. Now with the flat side up, it sears better and is cooking a bit quicker. Only took me 10 years to figure this out……..

Fajny zamiennik. Fajna emalia z żeliwem! Pasuje do Genesis II ja mam grila 3 palnikowego. Czy będzie trwała jeszcze nie wiem! Dobrze były ruszty zabezpieczone styropianem i kartonem. Kupiłbym na pewno jeszcze raz.
