I purchased this product for a Sony DSC-HX9V camera. (This was an additional battery purchase - it was purchased in addition to my purchase of the "Wasabi Power Battery and Charger Kit for Sony NP-BG1, NP-FG1, Cyber-shot DSC-H3, DSC-H7, DSC-H9, DSC-H10, DSC-H20, DSC-H50, DSC-H55, DSC-H70, DSC-HX5V, DSC-HX7V, DSC-HX9V, DSC-N1, DSC-N2, DSC-T100, DSC-T20, DSC-W100, DSC-W120, DSC-W130, DSC-W150, DSC-W170, DSC-W200, DSC-W210, DSC-W215, DSC-W220, DSC-W230, DSC-W270, DSC-W290, DSC-W300, DSC-W30, DSC-W35, DSC-W50, DSC-W55, DSC-W70, DSC-W80, DSC-W90, DSC-WX1, DSC-WX10".). It seems that the product cells are manufactured in Japan, with the remainder of the battery manufactured, and full product assembled, in the PRC.The product arrived promptly, with the battery in an individual plastic case for protection during storage. The battery was charged with the Wasabi battery charger noted above. The charged battery was inserted in the camera and worked very well. Note that this Wasabi battery is 1250 mAh - a greater capacity than the original Sony battery with 910mAh. Also, on the camera screen, the Wasabi battery indicates the remaining battery capacity both in bars on the battery image and in minutes, whereas the original Sony battery only shows the remaining battery capacity in bars on the battery image and does not indicate the remaining minutes.The lifespan of a charged battery in storage is yet to be determined.Overall, based on the foregoing, this battery is highly recommended for the Sony DSC-HX9V.

Returned for refund from Amazon.Battery was defective when I received it. Would not charge in a genuine Sony Charger, Shows only 74 minutes (Sony battery fully charge shows 140 minutes).Also HX-20 camera has the capability to charge through the USB connector. When connected the charge light comes on but flickers immediately.Conclusion: battery is defective.Previously bought from Amazon/Nook a battery for my Nikon 7000, still working great, no problem.I will give them a try later hoping it was an anomaly.

These batteries are nice to have as extras while I'm hiking since I take a lot of pictures. Batteries life is only about 45 minutes. Worth the cost to ensure extra power when you away form any area to recharge your battery

I received this battery with a charger that I ordered because I had lost mine. I wasn't all that excited about the battery because I was more interested in the charger, but what an pleasant surprise.....this battery is awesome! It's not a cheap replacement like you'd expect, I feel like I got a better battery than the original battery my Sony camera came with. Not only does it have the battery time on your camera when you use it (original battery doesn't do that), it has a bigger charge capacity than the original battery! I love it. BTW I'm using this with the Sony HX9V camera. If you're debating if you should get the battery, don't, just get it!

I'm very pleased with this product. I just recently went on a trip to Egypt. I took so many pictures some days that I went through 2 batteries per day. Because of this battery, I never missed a shot! This battery is every bit as good as the one that came with my Sony camera (DSC-HX9V). If you need a good backup battery for your Sony camera, this is it.
