I'm not really one to write reviews but I like this desk. I looked around and researched some different desk but many seemed bulky or had inaccurate pictures. I really like this desk because it is exactly what I expected it to be. The pictures and description are accurate. I've seen many complaints from other desk about the light being flimsy and dim but this one seems high quality. The adjustable arm on this one is stiff and stays in place. The round edges really take away from the bulk and it feels light yet sturdy. I really like using it before I go to bed to read or browse around on the internet, one day I'll get a tablet but till then it fits my macbook pro perfectly with a cup holder for my evening tea. I used to try to rest my laptop on my legs but this is so much less clumsy now. And the piece that holds the light is flexible, so you can easily angle the light to point at whatever you want. Note that you need to put in three AA batteries for the light to work. When you are not using the light, it tucks underneath, and there is a little velcro strap to keep it out of the way. The bottom of the lapdesk is like a beanbag type material that molds easily to your lap.
