That were packaged very well. There was no damage. I ordered four of these chairs for my dining room table. I was looking for a more contemporary look and these added the flare that I needed. They are wood and not metal. They are of great quality, very sturdy, and look amazing. They are very comfortable and the seat height is perfect. I would definitely recommend these chairs. If you're on the fence just do it. They are lighter in weight than I thought, but they are perfect. They come fully assembled which is a huge Plus.
