The picnic table is very cute. Easy to construct. Table is sturdy and well constructed. Would buy again.

The reviews for this picnic table seemed a bit all over the place so I thought I’d add my experience. I wanted something that would last outside through different seasons (we live in Michigan) and be big enough for my son. He is 3 but is closer in size to a 5-6 year old child so it can be a challenge to find things made for young kids that still accommodate him comfortably. While some people said you will struggle to assemble this, it wasn’t that bad. The hardware came securely taped to the pieces of the table. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver. I am a 5’2”, 37 year old momma of no great strength and I was able to build the whole table in our living room in just under half an hour. I only used the screwdriver but if you used a drill it would surely go together in minutes. The hardest areas to do on your own would be folding the bases inward in order to screw them together. To hold them in place since I was on my own I just braced them against my couch (if you don’t actively hold them together they spring back apart). The only other issue that took me a minute was snapping the bench seats onto the base. I had to bear down with my body weight before the bench piece snapped on with a loud click. Once they snap on they stay on so it’s not hard to secure them with the screws. One parent commented that there are no holes so it’s impossible to screw together and this made it a wasted purchase. Please disregard this. It is true that there are no holes but the screws are sharp enough to easily screw into the plastic with a bit of strength and the photo directions clearly indicate where to do this for each step. Once assembled it is easy to move wherever you need to and would work indoors or outdoors. It says it seats up to 6 children but 4 seems more reasonable. My only complaint would be that the included umbrella has no strap to keep it securely buttoned down when not in use. On a windy day I could see the wind catching it and maybe bending the frame of the umbrella. It is easy to remove the upper portion with the umbrella top so you could take it off entirely and put it away when the weather is bad, or make your own little tie strap for it. Overall I feel this table is worth the investment time and money wise. Every Step2 product we have purchased so far has lasted multiple years of full time outdoor use successfully. They can be bulkier than other brands but I believe it’s also what helps them survive kiddo abuse and the elements. I’d recommend this to my fellow momma friends in a heartbeat!

My 2-year-old grandson loves his new picnic table. This Step2 picnic table took only 10 minutes to assemble & he absolutely loves it. What surprised me the most is that his favorite thing about it is the umbrella, as he is constantly pointing at it. He loves to sit at his picnic table to enjoy outdoor snacks or play with his toys. AND the best part is that you can store the umbrella for winter & bring the table inside for indoor use. Don't hesitate! It makes a great gift for toddlers!

I am a 62-year-old grandmother, buying this for my grandchildren. I would say that the assembly was a bit intimidating only because there were no pre-drilled holds, and no written instructions in English, just pictures. The first logical thing I did was panicked and texted my son, "Help! no pre-drilled holes!" I knew he was at work and would not respond for a couple hours, so since I am impatient, I dove into the assembly anyway. It wasn't as hard as I had anticipated, and the first 4 screws were put in with just a screwdriver and elbow grease, even though I had to create holes through the plastic. Just when I was growing weary of that process, my husband got home and got his drill out. I continued the process because I like to finish what I start. I did not use the drill to make holes, but rather, to just drill in the screws. I think it turned out nicely, and I know the grandbabies are going to love it. Some said the assembly process was about 40 minutes. If I had used the drill the whole time, that sounds accurate. Oh...I did somehow have one leftover part. It appears to have something to do with the umbrella, but the umbrella is fine without it.

This table works very nicely for our two grandsons - almost 4 and 20-months old. Currently, we’re using it inside so we haven’t used it with the umbrella but it is sturdy and they love it. The umbrella seems very sturdy. I love colors so personally I wish it came in brighter colors but it looks good. It did take my husband and son to put it together. We put felt tabs on the bottom of the whole table as we prefer them to slide better on the tile. Four stars because one thing that I wish it had was a smooth top table for writing & coloring on. It has a wood-look unsmooth feel to it so when writing or coloring they have to have a smooth pad to put under the paper. We recommend it.

I put this together for my son today. In-between "mommy help me" it took less than an hour to put together. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. The hardest thing about this was squeezing the legs together and trying to get the screw in at the same time. So I pushed it up against the side of the house since I was building it alone. Worked great! My 3 year old loves it! He imidately wanted something to eat just to eat at the table and he couldn't wait to show his grandpa when he came for a visit. Thinking of buying one for his grandma for her house. I no longer have to worry about the table getting ruined in the rain and the umbrella keeps the sun off his skin (red head jeans) I see him using this alot. Buy it, it's worth it!

Il tavolo è carino, bello il design e utile l'ombrellone. Se fosse un po' più alto sarebbe perfetto anche per bimbi un po' più grandi
