Works great! I got it because I needed a lock an key, because I lost my my keys to an older vets of this lock years ago, can't remember where the keys are. I read the reviews, but I didn't really care what color I would get, sucks if you get a color you don't want, but then again I didn't really care what color I got anyway. i was actually kinda surprised to get the one I got, because it's the same color as my old lock, but I know the keys look different so if I ever find it in my room somewhere I can tell the difference. But I was excited to see what color I would get. Lock works great, you just have to read the directions, an try it out, get a feel for how it opens, but besides that I don't see anything wrong with it.

I bought one of these years ago and it’s been the best I’ve ever had. The key stays in the lock so you never lock your key in your locker.

I wanted a lock to secure a locker at my gym. I was really hoping for a blue lock, but you can't choose a specific color and so I got a green one. No big deal, but still, it would have been nice to choose. It comes with two keys which is nice if one gets lost. The problem is the small amount of space created by the lock mechanism. The lock comes up pretty high on the sides and the metal loop that connects into it, once it clicks in, creates a pretty small hole. When open, I didn't have trouble looping it through the locker, but when I tried to close it I had to move it around a bit. The locker's mechanism is recessed a bit and made it a tight fit for this particular lock. Also, it takes a bit of figuring out how to unlock it and lock it. It needs the key to work. Overall, it stayed secure even when tugging on it, but the shape of the lock has it's drawbacks.

Great product but you cant exactly hope for a specific color. I bought two and hoped for a blue or even a green. I got two red so I was disappointed by that. The locks work great though and their perfect for going to the gym or even at home to lock a trunk. As you can tell I find all sorts of reasons to lock things up but I would have to say that there are my favorite. I use them from college as well and it is great because it makes it a lot easier to figure out which locker you put your stuff in. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in need of a lock!

I've been using these locks for at least a few years. I've had most of the colors (pink, green, blue). I have no idea why people are making such a big deal about colors. I prefer the keys more than remembering a combination. The locks are nice and weighty and the colors make it easy to spot your locker from afar. The only problem I have is remembering to take them home at the end of the semester! They get cut and I lose another lock. So, here I am buying another one for a new semester.

It's a great lock but why don't they allow you to pick the color you want? I can't imagine what would be so hard about sending the customer a lock in the color of his/her choice. For years I have used one of these locks. An important feature is that you cannot remove the key from the lock unless the lock is locked. This prevents accidentally locking the key inside your locker. As a bonus, I loved the fact that it was easy to spot it on a wall of lockers because it was bright green. Unfortunately, one day I put it down on a nearby shelf as I was emptying my locker, and I forgot to pick it up when I left, so lost it. After seeing on Amazon that it was impossible to pick the color you wanted, I decided I would buy it locally where I could see what I was getting. I searched every store I could imagine carrying padlocks in this area and could not find this model among the many Master Locks available. So I ordered it from Amazon, taking my chances on the color I would get. I received a red lock with a pinkish tone - this is a color I would never choose for anything I buy. I'm just going to grit my teeth and keep it rather than get into a pointless return and exchange argument. It's only going to be on my locker after all. But it is definitely a demerit for whoever decided not to allow the customer to choose what is actually preferred.

I ordered a lock before this one that was tiny enough to use on a diary. So I was worried when I ordered this one that it wouldn’t be what I was wanting. I was pleasantly surprised though when I got this one. They don’t allow you to pick your own color. But I was thrilled when I got the red one.

Only thing that I didn't realize when I purchased was that you can only take the key out if the lock is actually locked. You cannot remove the key when the lock is unlocked. Not too big of a deal to me, but something worth mentioning.Very happy with my purchase. I received green which was honestly the color I wanted (but didn't care that much) because my front door is green and this was for my gate right next to it. Worked out well.
