Fimco Stands Behind Their Pumps
I purchased this pump a year ago to refurbish a 14 gallon sprayer a friend of mine gave me. I used it throughout the summer to water my new trees. It did a great job and never had any issues. I drained the tank and tried to get as much water out as I could for the winter. After storing it in the barn all winter, I went to get it out a few days ago and water started leaking out the pressure switch out and it kept blowing fuses. Wasn’t sure what the issue was so I called Fimco directly and spoke to their technical support . He informed me that no matter how hard you try, it’s very difficult to get all the water out of the pump. He said there was usually a spoonful of water that sits in the bottom at all times and it probably froze causing damage. He was nice enough to replace it this one time but told me to either run the pink RV antifreeze through it to winterize it or store it in a place where it will not freeze. I will be taking his advice and hopefully this one will lasts a lot longer. Five star for the pumps performance and it’s warranty service.

Better Than Ever~ Even When New
We use a standard fifteen gallon sprayer tank and wand to treat weedy wildlife plots and dormant spray apple trees. The original OEM pump stopped working year before last, so I looked around for a replacement unit. I was surprised to find very inexpensive spray pumps available for less than 30$...and so ordered one.At first, it seemed roughly equivalent to the OEM pump...but within hours I began having trouble priming the system. And, the cast of spray from the wand stick was not as far, nor as strong. Then, the bargain pump failed altogether. We wasted hours trying to get it to prime and spray.I went to Amazon, trying to find another replacement, and studying the specs. and reviews.I ordered this Fimco unit based on it's higher output, and 2 year warrenty, with a bevy of very positive reviews. On delivery, the Fimco 5151087 mounted easily, adapted to existing hoses easily, and primed very quickly. The new system started and stopped autumatically, based on sensed demand. And the spray cast was futher and more robust than ever. It now has worked perfectly applying herbicide to three wildlife plots without a hitch. All things considered, the Fimco unit is a very good value. ~ The Duffian
