Schylling UV Play Shade, SPF 50+, Ultra portable , Blue

This tent is perfect for my family and our needs. I appreciate that it comes in a small bag because this makes packing for a trip much easier. Once I took the tent out of the bag I thought “no way am I getting this back into that tiny bag”, but it was surprisingly very easy. The tent comes with stakes to put into the ground to prevent it from flying away in the wind. The stakes also come in a small bag so that you do not have the misfortune of losing them on your outing. It was easily assembled on the beach by one person, however it was a little windy so we had one person hold the tent and another put the stakes in the ground. We had to push the stakes in with our shoes, don’t try it barefoot it will hurt. There is a flap on the back of the tent that opens to a mesh screen that allows airflow. This was really nice because I had a two month old in the tent napping and I was worried about overheating. Air was able to flow through the tent without sand flying in as well. The size is great. I was able to fit into the tent with the baby when there was need of a feeding or diaper change. This will be great as the baby grows and needs a shelter away from the sun. Disassembling was also very easy and everything went right back into their little bags. LOVE this tent! Would buy again for sure.

Two things that make this a great purchase: 1- Only one hand needed for setup 2- Very compact to carry The main reason I got this was to provide shade and privacy for feeding and changing my children. One was a newborn and it was perfect for quick feeding on the beach. The mesh window has a shade that can be tied up or Velcro fastened down for utmost privacy. It’s tall enough for an adult to sit up, or for toddlers to stand up inside. The other wonderful feature is how easy it is to set up and take down. With a newborn in one hand, I was able to unzip the pouch and take it out with one hand. The entire tent pops open with one shake. Using my feet or one hand, I could kick or scoop sand with a toy bucket to stabilize the tent. To take dow, simply turn the entire tent upside down to dump the sand from the pockets, pinch the two sides together along the bottom (while the top of the tent is still on the ground), then twist it all like you would a pop up sunshade. It all just folds into itself perfectly to fit into the pouch again. It does require two hands but only takes a second to do. It is small enough to fit in my beach bag with towels, or light enough for my child to carry.

This play shade fell in line with my expectations for the price. Most importantly, it has allowed us to enjoy several family trips to the park, beach, and campground that would not have been as easy without it. Set up is easy. No poles, just a quick pop up. It stakes down in the corners like a tent. One of the nylon corner loops came off the first time the stakes were pulled up. Can't say that I was impressed with that, but I sewed it back on and we haven't had an issue since. While it is light-weight, it handled a windy day surprisingly well with the front and rear flaps open. It is large enough to accommodate a smaller parent or a larger parent willing to contort themselves. I am 5'11" and can lay inside it (most of the way) with my daughter when I'm on my side curled up. Most often one of us lays or sits beside it. Plenty of room for easy diaper changes and my wife will sometimes sit in there for privacy when feeding her. The baby has slept in there like a champ so far. If there is no wind and it's a hot sunny day it can get warm in there. Be sure to pop in there a few times to check. If it's uncomfortable for you to be in there, you probably don't want your baby in there. I'm a regular camper, but for whatever reason folding this back up just doesn't come naturally to me. There's an art to it. Thankfully my wife has it down. Overall this has been a great way for us to stay active and keep our little one out of the sun. It's not perfect, but certainly a good option at this price point.

This thing pops up in seconds (do watch out as it is a little explosive and can hit you in the face! The directions warn you about this), and folds down in seconds pretty easily - do keep the instructions for your first few attempts at assembly/disassembly, and practice just once before you get to the beach so you won't look an idiot! It is a great shade (50+ UV protection) for the baby so you don't have to constantly apply sun tan cream, and enables you to sit up while inside it with the baby if you need to feed the baby (as long as you are perhaps not taller than about 5 foot 8). Roomy enough so you could have a snooze yourself, while lying inside with the baby, with legs sticking out. Has flaps to tie back from opening and the rear air vent for flow through of breeze. The pegs are suitable enough for keeping the tent in place at the beach. If by the pool with a paved surface, you will need to bring a towel (the base is not padded) and put some weighty things inside the tent (or maybe some string that you could tie to the peg loops and to other stable things outside the tent), as the tent is very light and will blow around in a decent wind. Though it's light weight, it is still sturdy enough, and the fact it is so light makes it great for travel and beach trips with all your other weighty baby gear. Only thing that I could suggest as an improvement might be a little loop or hook inside on the ceiling of the tent so you could dangle a hanging toy to keep the baby entertained. However I would not take any marks away from this product because of a missing hook, absolutely worth buying, good value and I'm extremely happy. I will use this again and again.

This tent has gone to Hawaii with us and was such a breeze to travel with. It is so lightweight and compact, and easily folds up and packs away in the carry case. The tent keeps the sun off of baby and allows plenty of room for 2 kids to play inside.

Got this to take to Cuba with us. My daughter wasn't interested in going inside because she would rather be playing in the sand, but it worked well as a shade provider and a spot for our stuff. Super easy to assemble, just open and flip it out. Putting it back in bag can take a couple attempts, but is easy after a bit of practice. Love that it is light and fit right in the suitcase.

This tent was a last minute purchase for a family holiday. I love it easy to set up and take down extremely small and easy to take anywhere when folded would have rated 5 stars if design had velcro or ties to keep the entry flap open as found myself trying to find creative ways to keep it open so my baby could have some sort of view at the beach. Later had some velcro tabs stitched in by my local seamstress who was not impressed I brought her a tent.

Great tent. We used this on vacation in the south with our 13 month old. I don't know what we would have done without it! Easy to carry and great sun protection. The only thing is you need to place it in the direction of the wind as it gets hot inside, but this is a problem with all tents.
