Pretty much as the title of this review says. This card slots into a PCIe 3.0 x1 slot, and thus forces any NVMe SSD to run at those speeds--with a max theoretical of 1GB/s. But realistically, you're going to have to expect less than that. It's worth to note that this is being installed in a ROG Strix B550-F Gaming motherboard. The SSD installed in this adapter card is, at the time of writing, a Western Digital Blue SN570 1TB NVMe. All is working as expected, no additional drivers were needed. It comes with additional/spare screws, and a low profile bracket--straight forward to install. The only gripe I have is blue indicator lights on the board itself. I may, at some point, design and 3D print some kind of shroud to block those lights since it clashes with the aesthetic of my rig.

This adapter card was received before the promised date, in good order. Fitting the SSD memory (purchased separately) was easy using the supplied fasteners, and the assembled card worked first time once installed onto the computer motherboard. Note: This card/SSD unit was purchased to make the operating system 'solid state'. If you are doing the same you may need to enable UEFI and format the device as GPT - older motherboards (say, before 2015) may not allow this

It took me a little while to figure out why this wouldn't go in properly in my HP Z840. Eventually I figured out that the locating tab at the top that goes in the notch 90 degrees from where the screw hole would be, was wider than the notch itself. I compared it to the other cards in my system and it was noticably narrower and shorter. Annoyingly, in trying to fit the card, I bent over the locating tab and had to bend that upright with some needle nose pliers, before dremmeling the notch a bit bigger. The other issue I had was that the Intel drive I bought sits about 1.5mm off the PCB when inserted into the connector, so using the two screws closest to the connector was impossible as they just didn't reach. The ones at the back were just about long enough, but the drive is mounted at a very slight angle to the card/adapter as a result. Surely the connector is at a standard height above the bottom of these U.2 drives, so the connector should be sized appropriately - or otherwise there should be a spacer and longer screws provided to mount the drive parallel to the PCB. Once the fitment issues were resolved, the card itself functions perfectly. The drive is recognised and performs really well, and my Z840 boots off of it with no issues. And this card is a fair bit cheaper than comparable adapters, so I'm prepared to cut it some slack, given I was cheaping-out for my home office workstation. For anyone considering it for a more enterprise/corporate environment, if your staff have to f about for an hour getting it to fit, you've wasted more money than you saved, so pay the extra and get something designed a bit better.

USB ports work fine but the nvme slot it like misshaped and my card doesn't fit. I was wondering maybe I have the wrong nvme card but in the motherboard it fits fine when comes to the adapter it just wouldn't go in

This is bizarre device and it doesn't do what it says (Dual M.2 SDD SATA III PCIE M.2 Adapter Card). Or at least it is not very clearly explained what it does. In my case it simply didn't work as expected (connecting 2x NGFF SSDs via PCIE slot - which seems to be only reason this adapter exists). So this is NOT what it looks like - it is not Dual M2 > PCIE X4. It is actually seems to be Single M2 NVME > PCIE X4 + Single M2 SATA NGFF > SATA3... which is just wacky (why would anyone want to do that?!). Point being - you can connect Single M2 NVME to the bottom slow for it to run via PCIE X4, or you can connect Single M2 NGFF SATA to upper slot and then connect separate SATA3 cable to your motherboard and run it as SATA adapter! I guess this explains how this device can run without any controller, because NVME is PCIE compatible and SATA NGFF is SATA compatible, so it basically uses native compatibility and is merely a sophisticated holder + provides power to SATA via PCIE. It isn't even clear if you could use both of them at the same time, or either one at the time In my case I had 2x NGFF SATA drives and didn't spare have NVME at hand, so I could not test if it would recognise NVME, but it certainly does not recognise NGFF SATA. If you look very carefully in grainy images provided then it says M Key for bottom slot which is NVME only and B-M key for upper slot, but description just jumbles everything into one line implying it does both, not either/or! As well it says "SATA IN", where it actually is SATA OUT. It is kind of device for person who does not know whenever they have NVME or SATA NGFF so they can try both... maybe, potentially, one of slots may work!

Ottimo prodotto, l'ho installato collegandolo al pci express dei 2 della scheda video che avevo, (uno era libero dato che non uso crossfire o sli o altro) ed ho installato l'hard drive (precedentemente, un samsung da 1 tb nvme pro 980), ti forniscono le vitine per installarlo. Dopo aver piazzato il tutto sulla scheda madre ho collegato anche il cavetto sata (non so a cosa serva ma l'ho collegato, forse alimenta boh?) Poi mi son recato su Gestione Disco e il pc con win 11 ha rilevato subito l'unita ssd nvme, creato e formattato la partizione e tac il disco era pronto per l'utilizzo, ho scaricato infine la suite di Samsung Magician per aggiornare il firmware ecc..... Imballaggio così così per il resto tutto regolare!!! Arrivato nei tempi previsti.

I found this item quality and well made, it fits SSD perfectly, looks nice and was delivered very quick. INSTALLATION: I Had to slightly bent the mount metal bracket, to fit my case perfectly. Nothing problematic, a cosmetic issue mainly. Works fine with no problems. I preferred this type of adapter with middle section cut out for better ventilation and cooling, since enterprise SSD do get quite hot. Would buy again if needed. Good price.

Je l'utilise pour une carte M2 qui remplace mon SSD de boot sur une carte mère de 2012 qui n'a pas de slot M2. Il a fallu installer une mise à jour beta de l'UEFI qui gère NVMe, mais ensuite cette carte installée dans un slot PCIex4 a fonctionné directement avec des performances irréprochables. Le branchement SATA est peu utile, il nécessite un branchement sur un port SATA existant, et les performances de la carte M2 seront bridées par les 6GB/s du contrôleur SATA. C'est éventuellement pratique si on n'a plus assez de place pour un disque dur SATA ou un SSD dans le boitier, mais pas pour le remplacer. Pour pas très cher, cette carte est un bon ajout sur une carte mère ancienne sans support NVMe.
