Bob's Red Mill Quick Cooking Steel Cut Oats, 22 Oz (4 Pack)

These are simply the best oats for oatmeal. They take much longer to cook than other kinds, but totally worth it. I cook 4 cups of oats at a time, in 8 cups of milk and 4 cups water, which fills a big pot, with a dash of vanilla extract and cinnamon. It takes about 45 minutes. After the first (delicious) serving for my family, I refrigerate the rest and reheat for breakfast - it lasts all week. My four kids are typical picky eaters, but they devour this oatmeal, as do I. It is low calorie but really sticks to your bones. Highly recommend for aficionados and casual oatmealers alike.

Love Bobs Red Mill One Minute Oatmeal but “twice” now I have made the mistake of buying these because they say “Quick Cooking” on label and these are not microwaveable nor quick cooking at 10-15 minutes to cook

I was a bit leery of a quick cooking steel-cut oatmeal as one of the things I like about this oatmeal is the texture. No need to be concerned. No difference in the texture between this and the regular oatmeal that takes 20 minutes or more to cook. Highly recommend.

I have this every day almost with my other breakfast food. Easy to prepare, cooks in less than 10 minutes. I add some Craisins and cinnamon too bump up the flavor.
