I normally wear an 8.5, but went up a half size after reading some of the reviews, and it was a good fit. The shoe itself is comfortable enough, though more padding would have been nice. The only thing that I really didn't like was the loop that holds the ankle elastic in place. I bought the sparkly gold version, and the loop is also the sparkly gold material. That loop chewed a sore into the back of my foot in the time it took to walk from the parking lot into the wedding venue!
