The perfect, inexpensive solution for digitizing your vinyl records.
Nothing more and nothing less than a modern, beautifully-designed turntable phonograph whose express purpose is the digitizing of vinyl recordings. Connects to your computer effortlessly via USB, yielding you high-quality stereo digital audio files which you can then save to any modern audio playback device, or burn out to a CD optical disk. The price here is mindblowingly inexpensive, too, for such a quality apparatus. Works like a charm, and easy to figure out. What a gem, what a find.

Works great!
I like the fact that it is a 3-Speed Turntable. I'm able to play my old LPs and 45's. Sound Quality is great. This replace an older ION that I somehow melted plastic on the cover. I have not tried to transfer music to a computer yet. I am looking forward to tryiing that though. Will make it easy to build some play lists.

Product looked nice but I found it difficult to set up
Product looked nice but I found it difficult to set up. I called the tech who told me not to use the cd which came with the player because it was outdated. So I downloaded the software from the company site but nothing seemed to be easy in setting it up. Finally the software was ready but when I plugged the cords in my laptop would not recognize the unit. Even with another tech's help I couldn't get it to work with my laptop. A very frustrating experience. Sending it back.

it sounded very good. And I highly recommend spending a few dollars ...
I purchased this along with the Ion ICT06RS Replacement Cartridge with Stylus 78 RPM.No, I’m not an “audiophile” so I won’t try to bamboozle you with expertise. I just wanted to find a turntable that could play the large collection of 78s that I recently inherited. My existing good-quality Pioneer direct drive PL-500 does not have 78 RPM as an option. After examining the various options (including retro-fitting the Pioneer PL-500 to play at 78), I decided to take a gamble on the ION Audio Classic LP. Make no mistake, this is a “cheap” turntable. It’s plastic and seems quite delicate. The main mechanism seems to be an OEM device re-packaged by various manufacturers who simply add the exterior shell and such. That said, ION has one of the more attractive packages. This turntable is, first off, not an eyesore. Second, once I hooked it up properly (as ION representatives stress, do not attach it to the Phone port on your stereo but to a regular RCA input such as “Tape”) with shielded RCA cables, it sounded very good. And I highly recommend spending a few dollars more for a shielded cable. After that, it all depends on the quality of your records and stereo system. (I’m playing through an old JVC RX-309 receiver with a pair of Ohm model C2 speakers.) I have found in the case of a good-quality 78 record (using the special 78 RPM replacement cartridge), I achieved a high quality of sound that I didn’t expect. I would assume the same would be true of the regular 33/45 cartridge that comes standard with it.I haven’t used the software because I have no interest in digitizing the music. The fun is in truly playing the records retro-style. The one obvious and glaring flaw of this unit is the auto-shutoff feature. It’s not adjustable and many of the records shut off before reaching the end. You can turn off the auto-shutoff feature but this is a poor work-around for a feature that should have been more precise and adaptable to begin with.Other than that, this is a question of getting very good value for $47.00. I don’t suspect it will last more than a few years if played regularly. But who know? It’s a delicate unit, but with care it could last quite a while. Frankly, the price is in the area of if it breaks in a few years, I’ll just get another one or try to fix it myself. Also, the plastic lid of this unit came with a huge crack in it. ION customer service sent one out and I had a replacement within two days. From a customer service standpoint, they are outstanding.

ION LP to USB converter
i have been trying for years to find a particular CD, I have the LP but I wanted a CD so I could put it on my computer. Only CD I found was on Amazon and the price was over $100.00 . Purchased this unit over a month ago and just now got around to installing it. First thing I did was to play the LP I have and copy it to my computer. It worked like a charm, only one tiny problem, when I type in the artist and then type in the tracks it saves it without the artist name on each track. No big deal, I am just so happy to finally be able to put a lot of my vinyl on the computer. Now to start on downloading a hundred or so LPs. Very satisfied with this converter, and highly recommend it. Installing and running the software was the easiest program I've ever loaded and ran.

Good turntable. Okay software.
The capture through USB is very nice. It has an excellent dynamic range. The sound through the RCA jacks is good, but needs a little EQ.The included software is easy to use, but feature poor. It tends to split up tracks at the first silence and there's no way to adjust this. I usually wind up with several tracks per side being split into 2 or 3 files each. The standard cartridge is very reliable for 45s and LPs (both regular and microgroove).Buy the 78 RPM replacement stylus is you're going to convert 78s.

Works well... easy to use...
Works great. I needed to digitize some of my old 33 1/3 rpm albums from back in the day. The included software is very easy to learn. I also got a reminder that the "good old days" weren't all that great - the act of finding, loading and then dropping the needle in the proper position on an album or 45rpm using "old guy" eyes is not as romantic as I remembered it to be!!! For the over-50 crowd, it helps to keep a small flashlight nearby as the black on black configuration of this unit is tough to see. For overall convenience give me a one-click mp3 music file any day! This unit will create that digital file for you from any record. Remember this is a 1:1 transfer - a 30 minute record takes 30 minutes to digitize.
