This is my second pair as they are great gardening gloves, good for the heavier work whilst still being malleable for weeding. However they are not thorn proof, no gloves are except for the thickest gauntlets . They are a snug fit so no doubling up for when you are tackling thorny hedgerow.

Love these gloves, leather is beautifully soft. This is my second pair as they are great gardening gloves, good for the heavier work whilst still being malleable for weeding. Very good gloves overall. I'm in the garden 5 days a week all year round and have put them through their paces... Washed well initially, and eventually started to stiffen and thin and flake off. Good, comfortable fit - they were a bit stiff at first but that didn't last long. Not fully waterproof or fully thorn-proof but better than 99% of the rigger gloves I've had, and perfect with a thinner glove inside. If I hadn't alternated with other gloves I think those would have lasted 2 months or so, but that's actually good, given the intensive use. I think my current pair will fail at the palms before it does at the finger tips, which is very unusual, in a good way, and is testament to good "construction". In the same vein, the velcro cuffs haven't failed either, which is also a nice surprise ( I tend to rip the velcros right out of the gloves within weeks). Will definitely order again as they're overall very good value for money. I would give 5 stars if the "leather" bit washed and weathered a bit better.
