I use 1/2 tsp of this at a time. Doesn't keep me awake if I use it at bedtime. It's suppose to be a great healer of mouth sores, stomach, etc... Most likely is best to use on empty stomach for (stomach), etc... You could probably use this as a topical for burns and acne, etc... It is thicker than regular honey so might stay on a little easier. I use regular raw honey in my tea however, since that weakens the strength of the honey. This is in a thick plastic jar. Tastes fine and fresh. It's thick like all Manuka that I've ordered is, but not hardened.

I actually got this Manuka honey for skin damage during radiation therapy. The wound nurse at my cancer clinic praised my use of it. It’s a bit messy to use for first aid, but if covered with a bandage it actually seems to absorb into the skin somewhat, and protects as well as heals. It’s nice and thick and protective, a slightly different viscosity and scent from regular honey, and you can tell it’s good stuff. I’ve continued to use it as a safe, natural first aid ointment on other burns and wounds on myself and my pets, including a bad injury on my cat’s head. (Neosporin can be toxic for cats if they lick it off, but the manuka honey is totally safe). It has healed wounds effectively with NO sign of infection (or abscess which cats are prone to!) Love having it on hand for first aid use.

The first two jars I ordered were AMAZING ! Dark, delicious, and theraputic. The second two bottles were nearly the color and taste of regular honey ! I ordered the exact same strength both times. Seems to be an issue with grading and quality control. Very disappointed in my second order.

Made a bbq - ribs and drizzle some not alot has a slight glaze look warped maybe I'll put more next time also chicken.

I treated a persistent cough for 15 days with suppressants along with food-based (not synthetic) vitamin c and this wonderful manuka honey. Fifteen days of on-and-off coughing later (feeling good, but not great), the doctor was surprised my x-ray showed a perfectly round shaped infection the size of a quarter in my lower left lung. The last 7 days, I drank a full glass of water, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with mother and one tablespoon of mgo 100+ manuka honey, plus the vitamin c. Wow! I think this kept the pneumonia from being a lot worse than it was. Vitamin c doesn't cure any illness, but it boosts the immune system to fight it. Whereas manuka honey will actually destroy bacteria. What a great supplement trio that, I believe, kept the infection contained.

Flavour was certainly better than the last jar I tried, not as flowery. MGO is about double the last one I bought, and it definitely worked faster. Also excellent value for money, I picked out a higher MGO with a more reasonable price, and the quality is still fantastic. I have used it for a gum infection, and for a throat infection, worked fantastic for both. Could feel an improvement within 12 hours, taking one spoonful, several times daily. For the throat, I watered down, and gargled, then swallowed the honey. Worked a treat.
