Now every parent, grandparent, or teacher can explain to a child the difference between appropriate and inappropriate touching in a way that young boys and girls can understand. As a child, there are constantly people trying to pick you up, hug you, or tickle you. Sometimes, though, children fall victims to people who try to touch them inappropriately. But how do you tell someone, most likely an adult, that you don’t want to be touched? Or, if it has already happened, how do you tell an adult you trust about what happened? You’re only a child, and they’re the adults. Why would they believe you? My Body Belongs to Me from My Head to My Toes is an educational tool to help instill confidence in children when it comes to their bodies. The narrative of the story is led by a girl named Clara, who encourages kids to say “no” if they are uncomfortable with physical contact. The narrator gives readers tips about what they can say or do to avoid unwanted physical contact, or how to tell the right people in the event it has already occurred. My Body Belongs to Me from My Head to My Toes is an invaluable resource that gives children a voice in uncomfortable situations. Review: Great book! - What a great book this is! You can never start too early in teaching children that it’s OK to say no to not be touched! Review: Great book to help children learn about setting boundaries - I'm a consultant for child safeguarding and have read many children's books on physical consent. This one is among the best, especially for young children. It isn't riddled with nuance and special situations. It's clear and direct. My kids love it.

Good introduction for toddlers and body boundaries
I like that this book helps children (for me my three year old) learn that it's okay to say NO and DONT TOUCH ME if they feel uncomfortable or just not like being touched in that moment. We need to empower our kids to stand up for themselves and I appreciate the animation and wording of this book.

If you have kids... buy this book!
Love this book! I've recommended it to many friends. It's an easy to understand read, while discussing an important topic. Absolutely love that it has a page in the book where it asks you to practice saying "stop it, I don't like that touch" . My 4 year old wants to read this book often. Two thumbs up!

Fun while identifying and learning!
A really fun way to learn how to identify and explain emotions in ways the little ones can relate to! My son has gotten very good at identifying his and others' emotions and has fun looking at the pictures while identifying.

Great tool for Learning and Developing Communication
My Body Belongs to Me from My Head to My Toes is needed additional to a child's library. It addressees the issues of having children developing boundaries about their bodies. I recommend this book because as a child my No for unwanted hugs and kisses from family friends would be belittled by other siblings . I just haven't felt comfortable. yet I would be encourage to allow it. My feelings should have been respected. The illustration and lettering is easily to follow and read. The drawings give clear explanation what Clara expresses. A great tool for learning and developing communication on the subject.

Perfect! I wish I had this as a kid
Absolutely the kind of book I was looking for. I couldn't help but cry after as I wish someone had read this to me as a child. I hope it helps my 2 year olds understand what is OK and not ok in regards to touching. Thank you

Such an important concept
I love this book! It’s such an important thing to teach your kids! This book does an amazing job of demonstrating to your kids that it’s okay to not want to be touched, tickled or kissed. Each page has pictures and a quick blurb to about the concept that it’s their body and they have autonomy over it. It’s also great that it has beautiful illustrations.

Not worth to the cost
Don't ever buy this book, it's really costly with respect to the content it provides. Charges are just for the printing and high quality paper. Instead you can buy some really nice books or videos in the same cost for kids.
