Great product! Use your own ice if you want extended time.
This has been such a wonderful thing! The ice packs it comes with donโt stay cold long enough for me so I put bags of frozen peas or bags of nugget ice in the pockets instead. I need the sides the most and donโt even use the neck/shoulder part. I also donโt have to Velcro the neck normally and it stays in place. Oh also the picture is of someone wearing it with no ice packets at all. You will look a fool but not feel one of your head hurts like mine.

Garbage - most of the product description is wrong
First off, the ice packs are NOT removable. They are fully sewn in, meaning you canโt easily lay them flat to freeze them AND you canโt wash the cap. They also made this out of a really thin stretchy material. The ice packs weigh the material down and stretch it out which will ruin it after a few wears. Since itโs so stretchy, the ice packs do NOT even remotely stay in place. Good idea and had the features I wanted for migraines, but terrible execution. Should have listened to the reviews on this product, but I figured, itโs an ice hat, what could be so wrong? Itโs unusable.

So amazing for headaches
I absolutely love this product. I haven't used this for a migraine, but I have used it for your run of the mill headache and it works like a charm. I hate taking medications, so this was a night alternative. When I use this, I usually don't have to take an OTC pain reliever. It fits great on my head and is actually comfortable to wear. My husband made fun of me for using it, but he has since tried it for his headache and he doesn't make fun of me anymore because he loves it! I chose this particular one over some of the other headache "hats" because it has cervical (neck) coverage which most of the other ones don't. My headaches often extend down to the neck, so coverage of this area was important to me.

Just what we wanted.
This is a solid migraine help. My daughter has been diagnosed (finally a diagnosis) with idiopathic intracranial hypertension and has horrendous migraines. The cold of the ice pack on her head and neck gives her enough relief that she can start to relax. It doesn't fix the problem, but it helps and I feel like I can at least do something to ease her pain. We've got a couple of different head packs but the neck addition for this one is a nice piece. We shopped around at first because some are too expensive for a try-it-out order. This one is cheap enough for an experiment and works, so why buy the more expensive ones. The only issue here is that straight from the freezer, it's a bit stiff, but it can be shaped enough to make it comfortable. Two weeks later - ugh. The packs of blue goo inside do leak and make a mess. Guess you get what you pay for, but the concept is great.

Ehhhh
The concept is a good one just the material is cheap. The ice packs slide around in their dividual pockets because the material is too stretchy and doesn't hold them in place or sit close to your head like a cap does. Forget the picture, it's nothing like that! Not tight fitting to the head at all unless you have a huge head. The front of this covers my eyes and unless you have a very long neck, this not going to wrap under your chin. I gave it 3 stars because the ice packs stay cold for a good bit.

Love this!
This ice helmet is a great tool in my migraine arsenal. I've found it works best if you freeze the ice packs separately, and then put in when ready to use. It will take a few minutes for them to loosen up, but once they do, it will conform nicely to your head, and you can use your hands to apply pressure to spots that really need the ice treatment. One thing I wish they'd included was a properly seamed hole for a ponytail. I was able to open one of the seams at the back of the head to serve this purpose, so my long hair could be out of the way. I find the ice packs included stay cold for a useful period of time. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

Fits too loosely and needs more coverage without gel pads moving around.
I would like to say that the best part of this product is the pad on the back of the neck which works more effectively than the other cooling pads especially when laying on your back. I feel the other parts move around too much and am constantly trying to re-position myself to get more coverage around my whole head. It would also help if you had a Velcro strap in a different place with an extra cold gel/pad that hugs the bottom and sides of your chin. Iโm surprised that this product moves around on my head so much in knowing that I have a larger than average sized head. Also, I havenโt found a way to remove the pads to be able to wash the cloth part of it. I would suggest some extra coverage on the back of the neck, and on the temples as well and possibly some type of adjustable fastener that allows to apply however much pressure you would like especially on the temples, without feeling lob-sided if you decide to lay down with it. Although I am not necessarily all that satisfied with this product, I appreciate that you even thought to make such a thing. I randomly looked it up one day just to see if it even existed. So, thank you for that.-Luke

Freeze packs flat!! Then it's perfect
Love it. I like that it covers where my neck and skull meet, as that's a problem area for me. You will definitely want to freeze the packs outside the hat and flat... If you freeze the whole thing with the packs inside, the ice packs kind of poke you wherever they were creased and it's pretty unpleasant

Way to stretchy ice packs scrunch up move around I canโt use this would not recommend

Awesome!
This product is great! I take the ice packs out of the hat and put them in a ziplock bag to freeze up. If you squish out all of the balls flat before you put them in, it's easier to get cold distribution all over. I am able to put this on and fall asleep. It is most cooling where you need it and can be changed around with manipulating the gel balls inside. Does not impede sleep, actually helps your neck with cooling as well. Awesome product, would totally recommend!

Migraine Gel head and neck hat
Did not fit my head as was way too small and the Velcro just another thing your hair gets stuck on. The gel packs are so stiff they will not conform to the shape of the hat and made the whole thing lumpy and very uncomfortable. Very hard to reinsert gel packs once cooled. Could not wear it so returned it.

Best cold compress for headaches
I suffer from chronic constant headache top of head, back of neck, forehead etc. My scalp is very sensitive. This cold compress fits comfortably and the cold provides pain relief. I am a 66 year old guy with a large head and a full head of hair and yet this compress fits beautifully. I purchased one a month ago and use it so much I had to order a second. Great product.

cooling head gear for anxiety relief -- but poor fastening design... falls off
Migraine Gel Head and Neck Ice Hat by FOMI Care | Top and Side of Skull Plus Cervical Cold Coverage | Wearable Cranial Cap for Headache, Sinus, Chemo, Stress, Pressure Pain Relief This is kinda funny to use be cause you look like magneto from xmen. My daughter has anxiety issues at times and becomes frustrated with things -- but this is a simple non-medical natural tool that helps her. It just has gel packs on the head and back neck.... straps on with a velcro around the neck. I keep it in freezer with a ziploc and whenever needed, it helps my kid to chill out and calm down. The pictures on the product description shows it going far down the back and also has the head more form fitting but in reality it barely covers the back neck and doesnt even reach the back at all -- also the head fitment is rather loose and not very fitting... it easily falls out due to weight of the ice packs. Not thrilled with the fitment but i had to just use a silly painters tape to fasten the thing on the head so it doesnt fall off so easily. I tried it on myself too since i thought maybe it works better on a larger head -- but nope... its just not shaped very well to fit a human. I like the idea of using this and i will continue to use it but it couldve been designed better to fit a human head better.
