Amazing - cleaned our rescue's teeth within a week
I felt compelled to write this review. We just got (2.5 weeks ago) a rescue who was a stray. His teeth had what looked to me like weird gray mounds at the back of the molars. He would not let us brush his teeth or come close to putting anything in his mouth. At first we tried the regular, hard teeth cleaning chews. He liked them fine, but those seemed to just be a fun chew for him. We then decided to splurge on the OraVet Chews, which, granted, were quite expensive, but we were hoping to at least stall the progression of dental issues that he appeared to have. Our dog loved them, and treats them like a high value treat. They appear to be semi-soft when he bites down, so his teeth sink into the chew (as opposed to the more traditional, very hard tooth chews that just seem to crumble and are consumed quite quickly). Within a week of starting these we noticed that his teeth appeared whiter, and we could no longer find the gray at the back of his mouth. His breath also improved greatly. I would highly recommend this (at least to try) to anyone, I cannot believe that these chews were able to do this in just under a week.

Works like no other we tried! And our dogs love them!
A Miracle for Our Rescue Pup! (Plus a great money-saving hack) These are by far the best dental chews we have ever found. I’ve tried several other brands, but none work like these do. We adopted a rescue Pomeranian who was in terrible shape when she arrived—she wasn’t eating and was so weak she was literally falling over. Her breath was incredibly foul, making the whole house smell like a dead animal. When I checked her mouth, she had massive plaque buildup and dark, fire-red gums. It was heartbreakingly clear she was in severe pain. While waiting two weeks for her vet appointment, we got her on some pain/inflammation management and started giving her these chews. The turnaround was miraculous. Within just a few days, she began drinking, eating, and gaining her energy back. When we finally saw the vet, he was so impressed with her progress that he suggested we hold off on a stressful dental procedure for now, as he didn't want to traumatize her any further after everything she'd been through. Fast forward to today: her breath no longer smells, and her teeth look so much better but are still a work in progress. She still has more progress to go, but they are definitely so much better! She is eating normally and chewing on regular things like a normal, happy dog now. She has done a complete 180, and I credit these chews immensely. Money-saving tip for multi-dog homes: I have three Pomeranians, so I buy the large dog size bars and cut each one into 6 small pieces. Each dog gets one small piece in the morning and one in the evening. It’s an amazing hack that really helps save money when you have multiple small pups in the house! I highly recommend these.

My dog is happy and so am I
Our vet gave us a few of these to try at our last visit and I was skeptical. We all know of the other big-name brand that doesn’t actually help their teeth. Our pup was a rescue that had some built up plaque, I wish we had before photos. A handful of her teeth were brown/yellow tinged, and her breath wasn’t great (smelled fishy). The vet said she didn’t need to get her teeth professionally cleaned yet to my surprise and to try these bones. No joke, she had one bone, and visitors commented on how much better her breath was than a few days before. I knelt on the ground in front of her face, and yup no more fishy breath. Now after a few weeks of getting these bones about every other day her teeth and breath are much better. Her breath will still stink on occasion since we don’t give these every day, but it’s nowhere near as bad as it used to be. A lot of her built up plaque is completely gone. I’m so impressed. She also seems to like the flavor (she’s so antsy when I pull the bag out). They don’t smell like much, definitely not stinky. They are softer so they don’t last super long (a few mins). Either way, so far we both love them and recommend them to anyone with similar issues!

Vet suggested for tartar on teeth!
Dog loves these- but a little pricey. Do tend to keep tartar down on her teeth!

My dog loves, My Vet approves, Haven't needed a cleaning until year 6
My dog loves this treat. I don't know what it tastes like to her because every morning she wakes up the first thing she does is run to the draw with this treat. It must taste great to her. I give it to her first thing in the morning before feeding her usually not long after consuming the stick she has to go number 2. My dog is now 6 years old and she has been on this ever since the Vet said it was ok to start her on these and this year was the first year the Vet said she can use a little cleaning nothing major just a little tarter build up on one or two of her teeth. She has never had a cleaning done before this. The one drawback is they are pricy compared to other dental chews but if you have to pay a little extra for these ones and not have to pay for a dental cleaning for 6 years I would say its worth it.

A good alternative to rawhide chews
I have several dogs. All have lousy teeth but their chewing preferences are different. For some I use the enzymatic dental chews, for one I use Greenies, and for my most special, picky girl, I use these Oravet chews. She loves the taste and the challenge of chomping down on this hard little bar that turns sticky and cleans some of the buildup off her teeth. Nothing beats an actual dental cleaning at a vet and I don't think these clean as well as the enzymatic rawhide chews, but they do well enough for my old picky girl who likes less and less as she gets older.

my dogs teeth are perfect
My dog is almost 5 and has been on these since about a year old and the vet says her teeth still look like a 1 year old dogs. She has minimal plaque and her breath doesn’t stink. I put all my friends on to these too. The best thing you can do for your dog. Also she goes nuts for them - can’t go a morning without brushing her teeth.
