"Griffin's plot stays hot and moves at quicksilver speed." -- Kirkus Reviews Two Americans in the just-born Office of Strategic Services take on their most important assignment during World War II: to extract--or eliminate--those Germans with the expertise to develop the atomic bomb. Review: Great writer; interesting book. - I have thoroughly enjoyed every book by H.E.B. Griffin that I have had the privilege to read. I must focus on hardbound books, as my eyesight is no longer what it used to be. That means that I must search for hardbound volumes, which are hard to find at reasonable prices. Review: Interesting view of Hitlerโs Germany - A few exciting moments. Nice info on the development of both German and US Nuclear weapons. A good description of how much politics affected action.

Very nice
Discovering a new series by Griffin is a great excitement. I bought the first 4 books in the series and am enjoying them greatly. Many of the same characters appear as in previous books but it is well written and vintage Griffin. Stay away from the later books in the series that are by butterworth. Those are turkeys - badly written - and definitely not worth reading. The Men at War series is not one of Griffin's strongest. But it is more than adequate for casual reading.

Another great Griffin Book, Another great series.
Full of realistic intrigue at every page. Canidy and his circle of spies continue to outwit the enemy and DOD/Service parochialism. The interpersonal relationships again raise an eyebrow. Another Superb Read!!

W.E.B. Griffin writes good books about the war
This is the third book in this series and I am going to jump right into the fourth book tonight. It's hard to put them down. There is always a lot of action. Sometimes I wonder how he keeps all these characters up in the air.

W.E.B. Griffin Series (all)
I discovered W.E.B. Griffin in the eighties after a four year stint in the Middle East and eleven years Active Duty in the Army. I would find out when the next release of a Griffin book was due and as soon as I got off work, I would get to the bookstore, buy the book, and I would finish reading it before work the next day. That ment I would get little or no sleep, but it was worth it. I have now obtained Griffins books on Kindle so I don't have to store all the hardcover and paperbacks. You can read any one of Griffins books as a stand alone, but why would you? Each Griffin sries will give you day's and week's of pleasure, (over and over again for me).

Great Stories
Very good and interesting story. Unfortunately, the seller charged me for shipping x3 when they were ordered at the same time. But, WEB Griffen tells a very good story of the OSS during WWII and I guess that's what's most important.

Great Service
Purchased for a friend who has been looking for these books for a number of years without success as she does not have access to the internet. She is thrilled with them and the service was exceptional arriving ahead of the due date and in very good condition for a used book.
