Ear Color Protectors 24 Pack, Protects Ears From Water, Hair Color, Stains and Chemical Solutions, Elastic Ensures Comfortable Fit, One Size Fits All

Bought this upon recommendation from my ENT specialist. I had just experienced my third ear infection in a short time frame and needed to be more proactive with managing my ear health. Dr. suggested I wear these to stop my ears from getting wet for a month so they could heal; I was to dab a cotton ball with Vaseline and insert inside the ear with the covers acting as a little vacuum seal. They worked wonderfully! As you can see in the photo, after my shower the covers remained on snuggly and there was very little water along the seal. I still suggest keeping these away from direct water (I tilted my ears when showering) as they aren’t foolproof but they’re still worth buying. One thing I’d like to note, I know these are a couple of dollars more than the small brands from China listed here on Amazon but I’d like to think the price difference is somewhat worth it. Maybe the plastic used is slightly better or there’s a higher standard of quality control? Not sure but since plastic is coming into contact with high heat (shower) that’s something to consider. If shower liners release toxic chemicals in the air when heated, I can only imagine what bad quality plastic does...

I bought this product because I can't stand to have water in my ears when I take a shower/wash my hair so I needed something to good to cover them. I tried ear plugs but that didn't work so I read reviews from other people about these protectors and decided to give them a try. All in all, a very good product. I no longer have water in my ears and they do stay and you get a lot in the package. You can reuse them so these will last a long time which makes the price even better. I'd recommend these to anyone.

- Waste of money - Do not stay in place - More of a nuisance

It gets the job done. I just got my industrial as well as a third set of earlobe piercings done, and wanted to avoid irritation from the peroxide during the 30 minute wait time. For the dying process they sat fine over my ears and did the job, but during the rinsing process they held the water/dye in. My advice would be to take them off for the rinsing because they become counterproductive. They are also too large to wrap tightly around the ears, but work just fine as covers to sit on them.

I bought these to wear over my ears In the shower Bc I have some new stud earrings I want to try to keep in good shape- and course some metals you don’t want getting wet all the time. Can cause tarnish etc. so then. And I don’t want to have to remove my earrings each and every time I shower! What a pain! I got 3 holes in each ear. So that’s too much work. My first thought for these was that they are too loose. I think most ppl have 1 ear larger than the other (if you ever pay close attention one eye is bigger than the other and so are our ears. Just watch- you’ll see. Any who. Even on my larger ear they fell off. There was no way they’d stay on and protect water from getting in. But? A quick stitch with needle and thread and voila. They are way tighter so just be prepared to stitch the elastic tighter. I think the vendor needs to remember that these are going to be worn my women more than men? So plan to fix this issue for future production. Make the elastic opening tighter. For almost $5 these felt like cheap thin shower caps for our ears. I’d have been happier paying $3 for them. Almost 5 seems over priced sorry. Apart from that they’ll do the trick I think. And you can reuse them if you’re careful and not rip the bags. Just take off and leave on bathroom cointer to air dry and use next day again. I don’t regret buying these — just gotta tighten the elastic and don’t cry over the price lol.... Update! Now that I’ve worn them in the shower- o am disappointed Bc water got in easily and I was careful (plus I’d tightened the elastic). Nope they had smoke small puddle of water in them when o went to take them off. So sure they keep ears dryer.... than not having them buy you will still get water in your ears guys. 😩

I have a lot of earrings and it is too much of a bother to take them all out before I go to the salon. These are great, they are like little shower caps for your ears. I never will get an earring yanked on while getting my hair cut and colored. I even rinse them off and use the again. Brilliant idea and I'm stunned salons don't have these. Also perfect for people healing a piercing and needing a cut or color.

Great bought for my husband who has ear surgery and had stitches. (I'm a cosmetologist but all stores near us were sold out)

Sorry about the 2-stars but with several 5-star reviews for using these "caps" in the shower I felt compelled to alert future buyers that these caps did NOT work in my showering experience. I bought two of these packages of 24 caps each. Not a big investment at $6 each. These caps WILL cover your ears perfectly when used for coloring hair etc. But within a minute of wearing them under a strong stream of water or when I shampood my hair, the "caps" would come off from the water stream or my hands rubbing the shampoo in my scalp. The result was that I DID get water in my ear, inspite of other reviewers' claims to the contrary. DISCLAIMER: I buy oodles of things on Amazon each week. Several $1,000s a year. If you look at my other reviews you'll find that I rarely take the time to post good reviews because if the product performs as advertised then I'm happy with its previous ratings. I only take the time to alert fellow shoppers when I find a product does NOT live up to the description other reviewers' gave it.

A little flimsy but did the job of protecting my ears from the hair color. However if you’re not careful they can be easily dislodged. They do not hold up against water during the hair wash.
